Description

I found this place called the Wine Valet at Two Rodeo Drive (it's by the valet stand sorta in the garage) which specializes in boutique wineries, especially those which are women-owned or have women-vintners. It seems super fancy in there, but the prices were pretty reasonable. This one had a label that appealed to my inner geek and it found its way home with me. I have to say, I really enjoyed it and would definitely buy it again!

Description

Willamette, dammit. :) This wine is delicious. Somewhat hard to come by, a little on the pricey side, but it just won't let you down. Unless you're the kind of red wine drinker who only likes 'em big and bold. This one's not big and bold, it's subtle and refined and happiness in a glass.

2006 Westrey "Reserve" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

They say, "A barrel selection of the best of their single-vineyard pinots, this wine shows rich blueberry fruit with a touch of Oregon earthiness. This ripe fruit is balanced by great acidity and structure with fine tannins on the finish that show a great potential for ageing."

I say, "A sweet, chocolatey and berry wine that delighted us and our friends. I would definitely buy another bottle of this for sharing with our oenophile friends."
