Reality Bites (10th Anniversary Edition)

Description

Because I've inappropriately anointed myself a member of the Gen X class, it's only write that I give this movie a proper nod. Maybe better than any other film, it defines the generation and stands as, one of the more lifestyle relevant films of the 90s.

Also, the music is awesome.

I feel like I should like this one a lot more than I do, but I don't. It's a classic, by all standards though, and in as a 70th anniversary, fully remastered version, It's bound to make an awesome gift.

I've been watching lots of horrible movies OnDemand recently. Last night, however, I stumbled onto this one and it was shockingly good -- and in a completely unsuspecting way. Really, it's just made awesome with an unbelievable performance from Tommy Lee Jones and brilliant directing from Paul Haggis.

Once every 6 months or so, I end up watching this flick on TV. And, Im always surprised by how much I love it. Dont get me wrong, as i debate it, i recognize how unlogical and unrealistic it is, but I'm always okay with that. I really think it's about time i add this oen to my collection (via 85mm14)

Watch as Leonardo DiCaprio plays the boy who has everything (basketball future, friends, great life) until his friend dies and he falls into the ever-so-popular heroin trap. Things start going all wrong in his life, and he falls deeper and deeper into a life of addiction.

Sounds like a downer, I know. But thought provoking, I promist.

Flipping through the channels last night, I landed on this. Somehow, it had slipped passed me before and I had never sen it. So, i watched the Leo/Crow spy thriller and it just the type of move i liek the mindlessly watch. Bravo!

Okay, so the This American Life I'm listening to right now is blowing my mind. Particularly this story about the 2004 Documentary Devil's Playground. It's apparently about where when Amish kids turn 16, they're set free to indulge in a lifestyle of whatever bad things they want to get into and then decide for themselves if they want to return back to being Amish.
