Looks like Risky Business! - a list by nanashi

About this list:
The 1983 movie 'Risky Business' is a teen classic no matter how you look at it. Through most of the movie (and from the top the equally famous movie poster) Tom Cruise looks out through a pair of Wayfarer glasses. Now, these glasses are back, and they're been the inspiration for a number of clothing items, going far beyong the eye-wear borders.

Description
Aren't these sunglasses cute? I mean, they're kind of a wayfarer/ aviator hybrid. Who would have guessed that these rose coloured shades started life as factory-issure safety goggles. No jokes! These were really titmus glasses, until designer Matthew Costa punched out the ultra thick lenses and replaced them with tinted ones. He gave them to a friend- and voila! The Costalot sunglasses were born! It doesn't really matter if you're working hard or hardly working- just as long as you work it!

Description
I spent the majority of my childhood wearing the kind of fake D&G sunglasses that you can buy in bushels in every city in the world. I had especially sensitive eyes, and my doctor recommended I wear sunglasses inside as well as out. Inside, I looked like a crazy person wearing sunglasses indoors, and outside, I looked like just one of the billions of people in the world wearing the very same counterfeit glasses. I learned later that the UV protection stickers on my shades meant nothing, and I was accomplishing nothing but making myself look foolish. The moral of this story: stand out, but don't clash with your surroundings. A designer brand name doesn't make you any trendier, and stores without front doors sell nothing but lies. You're better off wearing sunglasses like these Urban Outfitters shades: classic Wayfarer stylings only oversized- so you can follow a trend without being consumed by it. They may not be designer, but they sure look cool, and on these 100% UV protection means exactly that.
