Singing Monkey Balls
3 people recommended this item
Description
Magnetic spheres that vibrate when thrown together or when they spin against each other, creating a fascinating "song". Tons of fun. I bought this as a stocking stuffer but it quickly became one of the big hits of Christmas day, as everyone wanted a turn playing with the magnets!

Cool Feet Laptop Airspace Stands
First to recommend
Description
Finally - a portable yet sturdy solution to providing airflow underneath my laptop! Cool Feet rely on suction cup feet to elevate your laptop computer off the surface, allowing cool air to circulate freely. The suction cup feet are very sturdy and come off easily for storage. It even comes with a handy drawstring bag to throw the cool feet in when you are on the go. I've tried other methods and this one is by far the best I've seen.

Enameled Cast-Iron 6-Quart Dutch Oven
3 people recommended this item
Description
I am on a cast iron cooking kick and I love this beautiful dutch oven made by Lodge Cast Iron. This enameled cast iron dutch oven is easy to clean and sturdy, heats evenly and is pretty enough to serve in. It's much less expensive than the higher name brands and every bit as beautiful and useful!

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Combo Cooker
First to recommend
Description
I've realized over the last few years that despite the convenience of modern day light weight cookware, nothing really compares to cast iron. Yes, it is heavy, but it cooks evenly, retains heat, is the original non-stick surface without the addition of chemicals. This combo set does double duty - the lid is also a small frying pan, the bottom portion is deep enough to fry in or to braise a roast, or cook just about anything else.
And, did I mention that cast iron is relatively inexpensive and lasts forever with a minimum of care?

FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS

Description
the more I watch this show, the funnier it gets and the more I laugh at the deadpan delivery and unique musical humor. Really worth the watch. It's like Seinfeld with songs and 2 down and two blokes from New Zealand.
Product Description
Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie " a.k.a. Flight of the Conchords " may be New Zealand's 4th Most Popular Folk Parody Duo, but in the USA, finding someone who knows their act is about as easy as finding a kiwi nest in Central Park. To rectify this oversight, Jemaine and Bret have moved to New York's East Village to conquer America, one fan (literally) at a time.

The Alphabet from A to Y With Bonus Letter Z!: Steve Martin, Roz Chast
First to recommend
Description
What would happen if Comedian Steve Martin and New Yorker Magazine Cartoonist Roz Chast wrote a children's book? "The Alphabet from A to Y with bonus Letter Z" answers that question.
This is one of those children's books that has plenty of humor for the adults who are reading it as well as interesting word play and drawings that keep the kids' attention.
A must have for every child's library!!!!!!!

The Paradox of Choice: Why More Is Less by Barry Schwarz
2 people recommended this item
Description
This book has changed my life. Seriously. And I had no idea that it would have such a huge impact when I decided to read it.
Barry Schwartz explores the Paradox of Choice and how the multitude of choices available to us for even the most insignificant things can be paralyzing. He offers insight into bridging the gap between being paralyzed by choices and being cavalier about choices. There really is such a thing as "just enough".
I can not recommend this book highly enough.

Smashed for the Holidays: Jacqui Naylor
First to recommend
Description
a wonderful collection of holiday music from the talented Jacqui Naylor who is mesmerizing in her adaptation of standards and new songs alike. She shines on the numbers that she "smashes" into each other using songs you'd never think of together - and she makes it work! Where else will you hear "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" on top of "Sweet Home Alabama".
And believe me, you need to hear it to believe it.
