Recycle Battery Box

Description
We used to just throw our used batteries in a gallon baggie until we got around to recycling them. I found this at Giant Robot and its a much more attractive solution.
Eco-friendliness doesn't have to be ugly! Or something like that.

Description
Discovered this artist at Long Beach Comicon this weekend. I love his work: I bought a couple prints and a t-shirt.

Bodum Pavina Double-Wall Thermo Glasses

Description
Stylish, lightweight and no condensation make this perfect for company and for the glass that is always by your side. I primarily use it to drink cold drinks and it keeps the drink cold without making your hand cold.
Only downside is that these are fairly fragile. You don't want to drop ice cubes in these, I have broken a couple.

Description
This really appeals to both my sense of humor and my sense of design: all texture, all nuance, very inappropriate.

Abisko Washbasin

Description
This cast marble sink isn't easily available for purchase yet, but really grabs my imagination. I can see a number of practical problems with it given the extremely shallow basin, but I am sure I would smile every time i used it.

These are silly, but cool. Particularly useful around the office if you have a magnetic whiteboard.

Description
Mechanical toys made from paper kits have always fascinated me because they just seem like they shouldn't be possible. I am not usually an FSM fan, but I like this version. (via invertebra)

Uniden TRU8865 Cordless 5.8 GHz Digital Phone

Description
I have been using this phone at home for a little over year. Unlike most cordless phones, the phone itself feels solid and is comfortable in your hand.
Adding additional handsets just involves buying one, plugging it in for electricity, and linking it to the base station -- no telephone outlet is needed.
All that and the sound is crystal clear. A very solid buy.

Description
This clock has a uniquely tactile way of announcing the time. I saw this at a museum shop on vacation and didn't want to carry it home. I am glad I located it again.

Description
I wish I had a place to put this and $4,500 burning a hole in my pocket. While this wouldn't really be practical as a desk replacement -- water isn't exactly friendly to paper or electricity -- it would act as a nice sonic transition piece in an entryway.
