Description

Belgian ales are not new but they are tasty. If you love Hoegaarden and Blue Moon, you should expand your horizons. Be aware however, there are not for the faint of heart and pack lots more punch than your typical brew. Lots of alcohol here!

St Germain Elderflower Liqueur

8 people recommended this item

Description

St. Germain, c'est chouette. Made of Elderflowers from les Alpes, it adds perfumed complexity to martinis, especially those with fresh juice, and to tequila and rum cocktails. And to breakfast, cheris. After all, a liquor named for the most bohemian arrondissement should be enjoyed in nothing but a bohemian manner.

Brewery Ommegang. Belgian brewing in America.

5 people recommended this item

Description

This is one great beer- rich, dark, great flavor w/a lot of subtlety. Ommegang is both old school and modern in that it is Belgian beer brewed in upstate New York. I also like the name- it has onomatopoetic appeal, sounds fun and delicious.
