Organic Black Gold

Description
This is it: Our coffee. We may stray, but we always return to Groundwork's Black Gold. It's made locally, organic and rich enough to warrant its name.

Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea, Inc.

2 people recommended this item
Description
Intelligentsia does direct trade coffee... like a souped-up fair trade coffee where growers get 25% more for their beans than fair trade certification provides and where buyers visit the farms.
But let's be honest: none of this would amount to a hill of beans if their coffee weren't over-the-top fabulous, which it is.
Also, I'm mad about their packaging.

Specialized Globe City commuter bike
First to recommend
5 people recommended this item
Description
Specialized's Globe City bike is like a love letter commuters can deliver to the environment everyday with just a little pedaling. Specialized made the bike with features like a covered chain to help jobby people not get filthy on the way to the office. And it's such a fab ride that, get this, their head honcho will ride the darn thing all the way from their HQ in the Bay Area to the bike industry trade show in Las Vegas to prove the point that it's a radical Mama Earth-loving transpo option. Again, Bay Area to Las Vegas! Now that's some kind of passionate S.W.A.K.

Green Earth Car Wash
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
I'm all over this for the Mini! It's organic and biodegradable and you don't need water when you wash your car. My little bro says waterless car washes are where it's at for car enthusiasts. I had never heard of such a thing... but I'll give it a try because I'm sort of over killing an hour waiting for my car to get detailed at the car spa. That's right, L.A. has car spas. And, you know what, if anyone is going to a spa, it's me, damn it, not my car. (via Daily Candy)

Cute greenie valentine token: organic chocolates and recycled-glass earth marble. Maybe pair this with a donation to Global Green, so you really are giving them the world (or a better world).

Food Map Container

2 people recommended this item
Description
Love the portability of this container. Also, it's better to grow above ground if you don't know what's lurking in your soil (well, that's how it goes for L.A./city gardeners, anyway).
Good for cold climate gardeners who need to bring plants inside on frosty nights, too. (via Daily Candy)

Description
I recommend this to all my greeny pals: Elizabeth Rogers very cleverly pairs virtuous tips with essays from entertainment luminaries (Ellen! Martha!). Smart and useful. And fun.

Venice Farmers' Market

Description
If you can not only buy organic, local product but also walk to the market selling it, nature loves you. Our marché of choice is two blocks from our pad. How lucky is that?
