Wooden LED Clock
34 people recommended this item
Description
The wood is so very nice and warm-looking. This is one of the most zen alarm clocks I've seen. Uncomplicated design: LED display to guide me back to bed after a midnight kitchen raid or, uh, spontaneous meditation session. Alarm to wake me in time to see the sunrise.

Sanford Elite Vision Uniball Pen,
3 people recommended this item
Description
These pens are not good for filling out rebate forms; but when you're writing in normal size letters, the generous ink flow makes for very smooth and easy writing.

Bullet Space Pen

Description
The best thing about this pen is how the smooth curves feel in your hand when it's closed. You'll find yourself fiddling with it even if you're not usually an idle fiddler.

Dell Outlet
First to recommend
Description
If you're looking for a computer, you like Dell quality, and you're willing to take a refurbished, returned, or scratch and dent, the "Dell Outlet" could be a good choice.
Use the search form to specify your price, memory, disk, etc, and they'll show you specific computers in their inventory at that point in time. If you don't see what you want, try again a few hours later as great deals popup and disappear, even on a Saturday.
Not every system offered here is at a significantly reduced price. Make sure you understand Dell's pricing on your target system so you'll recognize when the deal shows up.
Once you find that bargain, add it to your shopping cart quickly to reserve it, and don't dally in making the final decision as you'll lose it with 15 minutes of inactivity.

Handy Adder

Description
My dad had one of these and I loved playing with it as a kid. Of course, we didn't have computers back then, and I'm not sure if it would beat out a Gameboy, but I might have to pick up another one anyway. (via jchinique)

Stanley 10-Piece Standard Fluted Screwdriver Set
First to recommend
Description
You need a screwdriver set. It doesn't matter which one you get because they're so cheap you can just buy a whole other set if one of the heads start to strip.
Here, let me pick a screwdriver set for you to buy so you don't have to waste time searching and choosing.

Rowenta BS 365 Scales
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
The Rowenta BS365 scales have a clean look, solid feel, large display, and seem to be very accurate. The top is made of tempered glass (not transparent). The scales measure to the nearest half pound and auto-zero themselves between uses. This product measures up to 350 lbs for those of us who are taller than average.
Unfortunately, it seems almost impossible to find these any more in the United States unless you go to eBay or uBid. Be careful when the battery runs out. It looks like a AA, but it's really a special 3.6V lithium battery (CY9894) that will cost you $10 plus shipping.

faucet fountain
4 people recommended this item
Description
Sticking your head in the sink is awkward, and a glass on the bathroom counter could break and is either 1. a pain to wash every day or 2. kind of nasty because you never wash it. When you want to rinse your mouth out after brushing, what you really need is a water fountain. Short of installing a big metal appliance in your bathroom (right next to your new home urinal), you could attach this nifty little guy to your faucet. Hey, buddy, save some for the fishes!

Sticky Pad Dashboard Organizer
First to recommend
Description
This is a very mild recommendation of the Sticky Pad Dashboard Organizer with a couple of big caveats. The sticky pad does keep loose stuff (cell phone, blue tooth GPS, keys) steady on your dashboard, but the product insert has a couple of warnings:
1. It is for cars with padded dashboards and should not be used on hard plastic. I don't know what "hard plastic" means and they don't explain what might happen if you try it anyway.
2. If you leave it on your dashboard for a long time the area under the sticky pad will not fade while the rest of the dash does. When you remove it, you will then have an area that does not match.
Otherwise, if you can live with possibly damaging your car, it's a cool product.
