handmade SPINE lightbox--with blood red frame and lime glass by morbiddecor on Etsy

Description
The close-up shot of this is rather creepy, but I love it! The red frame and sickly green glass really gives the lit image an eerie sheen. This is an excellent and unique piece. (via etsy.com)

Mail Organizer - Acorn Online
First to recommend
Description
I desparately need something like this with all of the incoming ads, bills, etc. that are piling up on my dining room table.
It's solid wood, functional and made to stand on table, desktop or mounted on the wall. It's generously sized in a compact format, and holds a lot. Eight adjustbale cubbies have brass label holders; sides have hooks for keys ( which I often misplace), and bins for envelopes, pens, etc. Measures 15 1/2" W x 17 3/4" H x 9 3/4 D. Everlasting Organic Vanilla
2 people recommended this item
Description
An excellent gift idea for gourmet and occasional baker alike. I cam across this sheerly by accident but was thrilled by the concept. Most bottled vanillas are disapointing at best, and possibly questionable for content. This is by contrast, unquestionably the real deal.
From Isabellacatalog.com:
Three organic Madagascar vanilla beans come in a 5 oz. glass bottle, along with instructions to add either vodka, bourbon, light rum or brandy. After four weeks, you'll have the best vanilla you've ever tasted. Each time you use Everlasting Organic Vanilla, you replenish the bottle with alcohol, and you'll have a full bottle for years.
The bottle, beans and instructions come in a cellophane bag trimmed with raffia, making it already prepared for gift-giving.
It's a very economical $8.95. (via isabellacatalog.com)

Haverhill Afghan Throw - Garnet Hill
2 people recommended this item
Description
I don't normally like patterns on much of anything. This goes for clothing, bedding and just about everything else. I usually go for solids all the way. However, when I saw this afghan, I was immediately drawn to it. The colors and hexagonal shapes work together that warms my senses. They remind me of some of the patterns in Gustav Klimt's works. They would also work quite well with any room filled with deep solids. (Such as my living room). Created from soft, marled lambswool yarns, it comes in the pictured Spice Multi, or the more muted Pastel Multi. My vote is for the more vibrant Spice. (via garnethill.com)

Skull Egg Cups - Skull & Crossbones Egg Cups & Spoon - Unusual Skull and Crossbone Kitchen Stuff UK
3 people recommended this item
Description
I don't even like soft boiled eggs and I'd buy this kick ass set! Maybe it's my inner goth... Well, not just maybe. I suppose there is no other reason I'd find this so terribly cool. Anyway, I would recommend this item to anyone that has a similar aesthetic. This would look great sitting in my otherwise very rooster-filled kitchen.
