'Be Mine' Red Velvet Cake

Valentine's Day always has those silly little candy hearts...I swear they are just dyed sugar, but ooh are they good. This 'Be Mine' cake looks like a supersized version of those little candy hearts. But instead of being a giant sugar heart, it's made out of red velvet cake. Red velvet cake, is my favorite cake ever. It's soft and almost creamy on the tongue...the vinegar and cocoa powder making a soft sensual cake, Whether or not I have a sweetheart on Valentines day, this cake will be mine.

There is something about candles that instantly add atmosphere to a gathering. It's the instant party saver. These loop candlesticks are light and airy and won't weight down a table. I like the knotting at the bottom, it almost alludes to a celtic knot. Forever circling, these would make a fantastic valentines days table setting.

The allusion to you have the key to my heart is implied and obvious. I like this silicon key chain for more than that. It's red. It looks like one of those fantastic old keys. It's big enough not to get lost in my purse and I can hold it in my mouth without tasting metal (important for those times when I have to dig in my purse).

I wouldn't normally recommend gold and silver together, but when the gold is inside the red glass it make the glass shimmer on the shiny silver bracelets. These bracelets have a variety of murano glass hearts. Cute enough to make semi-casual and yet nice enough that it could dress up a basic little black dress for a night on the town.
