Description
Datebook 6 was released today! I haven't purchased it yet, but when I do, I'll upgrade this description. Here's what's new:

Not as revolutionary as I might have hoped, but the "today" screen looks interesting and the to-do sorting sounds like it might be useful for somebody like me with hundreds of to-dos.

TomTom Navigator 5 for Treo 650
3 people recommended this item
Description
TomTom is the most popular GPS software for the Palm OS. The UI looks very similar to their standalone product and this is occasionally a bit weird because not all the treo's keys work. But they've done an acceptable job of integrating it.
If you don't have a GPS system yet and you drive, you should get one. Might as well get the one that integrates with the address book in your treo (no matter how clunkily).
One note: If you get a persistent "not enough free db cache memory to run this application" error when you start up TomTom Navigator, then you may want to install DBCacheTool and configure it to "free < 4M", "max < 4M", "App stop" and set "Navigator" in the "Apps..." popup.

Audible.com

Description
Audible.com is a great resource for "books on tape" (for lack of a better term). I use Audible mostly for business and non-fiction books as they don't require much imagination. For fiction books, I tend to read them as I like to use my imagination while I read. Audible has plans that start at $9.95 on up to $22.95. Audible is actually a good deal when you consider you might pay over $20.00 for a new book at a traditional brick and mortar store, when you can actually get the book from Audible for around $15.00.

It's your phone along with email, messaging, and web access. A whole lotta other stuff as well, which I don't use. The perfect road warrior device with very decent battery life.

Palm Treo GPS Navigation Bundle
2 people recommended this item
Description
This runs great on the treo! TomTom is an excellent navigation system. I love being able to see where we are in real time and see what we are passing by as we fly down the interstate. (Not while I'm driving, of course!) (via debegray)
