cutest measuring spoons
First to recommend
Description
May just be the most perfect shower gift EVER!
If you're like me, you have bare walls in the kitchen and about 4 crazy drawers of utensils... Well, with these adorable measuring spoons by Beehive Kitchenware, you can alleviate some drawer space while adding a bit of charm to your kitchen decor.
Quite a lovely, satiny, aged-looking metal as well.
I'm in love. (via designspongeonline.com)

grocery bag holder

Description
I don't know anyone who DOESN'T have this problem... except for my super-conscious friends who always have their canvas bag on hand for any spur of the moment supermarket trips.
"BAGS, BAGS, BAGS -- WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THOSE BAGS?"
But really, folks. We all know there are tons of ways to recycle those plastic shopping bags, but where do you keep them in the meantime? If you're like us, we stuff many small bags into a larger bag then hang it somewhere out of sight, because it is afterall... unsightly. Then my better half doesn't realize I have a bag of bags started in some closet, so he starts his own bag of bags. Pretty soon, everytime you open a door in our house, a bag of bags flies off the doorknob on the other side. It's like a bad sketch comedy.
The wonderful thing about this bag holder from Simplehuman is that is is also beautiful and disguises it's function in slickery. Added bonus would be if you already have stainless steel appliances in your kitchen, then wa-la! It's like a bag chameleon! (via typepad.com)

dustbin for toilet time

Description
Do you read when you're on the can? I don't, but I know many people do, and that's why I got a chuckle (and then a head-tilt and a 'hmmm!') out of this great design from Snowtone. How appropriate a reading surface?
This kind of product makes me realize I need a day of the week just to go around my house, doing normal tasks, then ask myself questions like, "what would make my life the tiniest bit better right now?" Then maybe I too would be a wealthy gal.
I like this very much. (via mocoloco.com)

Pigeon vessels

Description
Continuing the white ceramic animal trend feels dirty, but how can I resist recommending this set of outstandingly adorable pigeon vases? They're chubby! They're stoic! They await your plumes and buds with this most loyal and formal stance...
I can't help but think they look more like penguins than pigeons, but who really cares. They're just delicious.

Now how gorgeous is this?! Not only are they beautiful, but with the colors available, one is sure to compliment whatever color of wood or other table surface you have.
ALLLLSSOOOO it acts as a grippy surface... in case... your dining table is... ON A BOAT! No bowls or plates slipping around for your dinnertime boat fun!
This is really beautiful and unique. I'm in love again.

Driftwood Picnic Set
First to recommend
Description
At our wedding shower, my husband and I received a picnic basket packed with wonderful items -- everything we'd need to enjoy a relaxing day out of the house including a gift card to the local Whole Foods, and I remember thinking that was the most thoughtful, unique gift I've ever been given. And now whenever I see a picnic set, I wish I had a wedding to go to just so I could pass on that feeling.
THIS set from the Patina Store may be the coolest I've seen. It has table service for two, an insulated compartment for the comestibles, spot for 2 wine bottles, even a corkscrew & cutting board... The whole package is pretty easy on the eyes as well!
Consider it an instant homerun wedding gift or special treat to yourself.

Apple Branch Teapot

Description
OK. This time I'm REALLY in love...
Sylvie Fuller, a UK designer for Lillibule Ceramics has created the cutest line of bone china this year. Her "Apple Branch Collection" also contains a creamer, sugar, mug and dish, but this self-contained breakfast-for-one has to be my favorite. It's like an instant heirloom!
Would also be an extremely wonderful gift for a housewarming or wedding.

Brown Season Coffee Service Set

Description
Well now, this is beautiful. A modern coffee set with a very mid-century feel!
I can imagine this fitting into almost any kitchen all year round -- the design is neutral but bold at the same time, and you just can not go wrong with white porcelain and chocolate brown. Cup and saucer set also available on the same site. BEST PART: They're affordable!... and once again, would make just a terrific gift.

Utopia Sugar/Creamer

Description
This is quite the delightful line of stoneware to begin with, but if you happen to be a fan of Danish artist Björn Wiinblad (R.I.P.), the resemblance between this Utopia line and his whimsical illustration style is undeniable -- especially because of the heads used as vessels concept. It's a pretty great tribute, even if it was unintentional!
While your there, check out the rest of Adler's stoneware: It's all so gorgeous, dammit!

Malaga Wine Rack System

Description
Well, mark this up as one of those lovely but waaaaaay pricey storage solutions that may at least serve as inspiration if you're looking to MAKE a wine rack system.
This is just fantastic. You have a base unit, and the modular, stackable rack pieces – all made out of this creamy, luxurious walnut. I can't remember the last time a wine rack made me weepy. It's definitely a winner.
