About this list:
After graduating from college, I not only miss it like the Arctic misses their cold temperatures, but I want to share my wisdom of what you need in college with every college-bound girl I know. So, this list is a list of the essentials that I think every young college woman should have before embarking on those 4 crazy years. Enjoy.

Battled my way through living on a student budget.

Description
Thinner is always better. (When it comes to gadgets, I mean! Not women!) This voice recorder holds 69 hours of recordings and is easily managed through your USB port, yet still remains credit card sized! Take it with you anywhere. Great for meetings, class, or for those ideas on the go.

Do The Dishes Tea Towel
First to recommend
Description
Yet another wonderful piece from showpony's store. The words "do the dishes" are spelled out in what other than stacks of dirty dishes. Screenprinted on an organic cotton towel, perfect for reminding yourself or your messy roommates to keep the place clean without any nasty notes. I love the simple elegance of this "tea towel".

Waiting Posters by Andy Warhol

Description
This poster is pink, good looking, and will up your cultured status in college. Andy Warhol is the shiz, and everyone should own something pertaining to him. Plus, you can fake art expertise with a simple one of these in your dorm.

Roma Lussa Journals

Description
You're going to need to write down all of those college feelings and experiences somewhere, and I don't recommend your public blog. A nice journal is a great gift for yourself or anyone who's going off to college. Next time you get angry, count to 10, write about, and see how you feel afterwards. Yes, it sounds Polly Positive of me, but it helped me out. And plus, reading all those cheesy and over-exaggerated journal entries years later is sure to supply some quality entertainment.

Red Bull Energy Drink

Description
Yes. It's terrible for you. But sometimes in college, you need something that will keep you alert all night so that you can study hard and write that 10 page research paper about the relationship between space and place in West Hollywood.
Whoa, sorry. College flashback. Anyways, Red Bulls kept me Summa Cum Laude, legally. Sure, they screw up my sleep cycle for the next couple of days, but those A's were so worth it. I think.

Downy Wrinkle Releaser

Description
Who has room for an iron and ironing board in college? Nobody. That's why Downy Wrinkly Release was a lifesaver for me. Anytime I needed to iron something, I'd just spray it with this and wait 15 minutes. Next thing I knew, I was ready to go and wrinkle free.

Laptop Backpacks
3 people recommended this item
Description
This is the COOLEST laptop backpack I've ever seen. Perfect for anyone - businessman, college student, artist, etc. It is made from lightweight neoprene, fits up to a 17" laptop, and conforms to your body for a custom fit. The outside is waterproof, too. And, not only will it fit your laptop snugly but there is also room for books and other objects.
Basically, this is the best thing I've seen as far as laptop transport. Go for it.

He's Just Not That Into You Book
4 people recommended this item
Description
My roommates and I spent COUNTLESS hours in college talking about boys and trying to figure out what their signals meant. Turns out, most of them mean they don't really like you that much. Once my aunt so graciously sent this in the mail to me, it solved a lot of the puzzles and saved us a lot of time. Screw those boys. Get the book. You'll love it.

REI Julie Tote

Description
This tote is made from recycled plastic bottles. How sweet is that? It's the perfect tote for school, as well. It has a large interior pocket for folders, books, and files, a zippered interior pocket for small items, an exterior slip-in pocket for daily school newspapers and the like (Daily Bruin, anyone?), a front zippered pocket (pictured) for your celly, music player, wallet, keys, etc., and two side exterior pockets for water bottles or umbrellas.
This bag has everything you need in a school tote. I wish I had had this!

Emergen-C

Description
College students and people on the go don't always get their proper intake of vitamins due to certain extra-curricular activities that leech them all out of their body. Emergen-C was a staple in my college life. Aren't you proud, Mom?
