After graduating from college, I not only miss it like the Arctic misses their cold temperatures, but I want to share my wisdom of what you need in college with every college-bound girl I know. So, this list is a list of the essentials that I think every young college woman should have before embarking on those 4 crazy years. Enjoy.

(Short) Longboard

Description
Skateboards are essential for getting to/from class, the library, and most importantly the dining halls while at school. I had a longboard that I rode all over UCLA's campus and loved it. It's easier than a bike because you don't have to lock it up all the time and sometimes more fun.This is a really good one because it's small but still gets you places. That way it's not so awkward when you bring it into class.

It keeps everything you need in a compact and well protected space. Plus the material it's made of is easily washable and stain resistant. Nice.

Description
Ok I really needed this when I was in school. I had all the cliche scary roommates: Klepto, foreigner, weight obsessed, food stealer - you name it. Perhaps this book would have shed some light on those situations and added some laughs. Although looking back now that was all pretty hilarious. A great gift for anyone going to school.

Description
When you have down time in college, you're either hungover or just got our of a midterm you crammed for overnight. A good movie supply is a must-have in college. I probably watched at least 2 movies a night. Roomie movie nights are so fun, too. A Netflix membership is a great idea because there are no late fees and the possibilities are endless. We all know college students aren't the best at avoiding late fees. I think I stacked up at like fifty bucks in fees at Hollywood Video during my college stint.
My favorite flick that Netflix exposed to me? The Waitress. It's wonderful.

Dorm halls are gross! Do not touch anything or sit anywhere until you have fully disinfected every surface. Carry these with you everywhere--your bedroom, the bathroom, the dining area, etc. You won't regret it.

Description
This is so cute. Trust me, the bigger the better when it comes to college laundry bags. I think I would go at least 4 weeks before I shelled out the quarters and tedious effort of doing my laundry. It's always such a hassle in school. Plus, this one looks cute, too so that pile of laundry won't ruin your room's decor.

Tide April Fresh Scent with Downy Scent

Description
You have to get a detergent with the fabric softener already built in, that way you don't have to carry both back and forth to the laundry room. Just throw in the soap and when they're done washing, they're ready for the dryer. Tide with Downy is my favorite, because it reminds me of home.
Those pesky dryer sheets are awfully wasteful, as well.

Annie Chuns Udon Soup Bowl

Yummy and satisfying when at work or home. I eat Annie Chun's all the time. The bowl is micro-wave safe and biodegradable. Comes with udon noodles, freeze dried tofu and shitake mushrooms, and tasty sauce. Vegan, friendly, quick, and cheap. What more can you ask for? Perfect for college, too, because most dorms only have a microwave in them to cook with.
