Must-have baby gear - a list by chocomamma

About this list:

Let's face it, any gear that can buy a parent a few extra minutes of quiet time looks tempting. And with an active boy who was colicky for the first 2 months and who still loves to be held - I've tried it all (or so it feels!) Here are my top picks!

Qualifications:

Mom to a high-maintenance 8-month-old

Bugaboo Parasol Frog

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

Protects sensitive eyes and skin from the sun, while allowing baby to look out. One Bugaboo accessory that's definitely worth it!
If you shelled out $700+ for the Bugaboo Frog, what's another $30 for the parasol? :)

Graco Swing 6 Speed

First to recommend

Description

Great for soothing babies from birth up! Comforting nature sounds ("white noise") and reclining seat make this swing as cozy as a bed. In fact, we started relying on it a bit too much, so the swing became the only place where our baby would fall asleep!
As our baby became older, he became more interested in sitting up in it and listening to the music.

Chicco Highchair

2 people recommended this item

Description

From birth to 2 you'll love this chair. It lays all the way back so you can cook while your new baby naps or plays. With different height adjustments your toddler can safely sit at your table. Did I mention it folds up and fits in your broom closet?

Suction Cup Zoo Mobile : Infantino

First to recommend

Description

Although thi s is designed to go on a car window, we've been using it above our changing station. The animal shapes can be removed, washed, changed around - making a pretty versatile, if simple, toy. It helps entertain our little guy during diaper changes. I highly recommend this or a similar toy for your changing table/station.

Strollometer Wireless For Stroller

2 people recommended this item

Description

Turn strolling into a competitive sport! Perfect for the warm weather, as we try to spend as much time outside as possible. And the blue one will coordinate well with our Bugaboo!

[Oh if only i had this for those endless walks around the block with a colicky 2-month old! ]
