Description
The best thing about this movie is the unusual way in which the story is told. It tells the same overall story a number of times from the perspective of a different character each time. Each run through you get more details and new information that changes the way you view what is really going on. Each segment also starts back a little further in time so it's a bit remeniscent of Mememto, though not quite as confusing.
It's interesting to note that by the time you finish the movie the original cause(s) are finally resolved, even though what is going to happen next in the lives of the characters is about as unresolved as it can get.
I would classify this as a mystery just because of the story telling method.

Wow, this could have been one of the greatest movies of all time with a different actor. It's not that Jim Carrey hasn't done some movies well, but I wish this one had somebody more believable.

I don't think this follows any of Asimov's books exactly, but the context, characters, and history are definitely part of his universe. And somehow, they still told a good story with great special effects. I think this movie might last a while.
