Reality Check: The Irreverent Guide to Outsmarting, Outmanaging, and Outmarketing Your Competition by Guy Kawasaki
First to recommend
Description
I'm not likely to read this book (come on, I already know everything about business), but Guy Kawasaki is a funny Guy, and I really enjoy watching his talks at various conferences. Basically, if you read this 500-page book, you'll know:
* How to get a standing ovation
* How to master the art of schmoozing
* How to create a community
All very useful skills if you ask me.

Description
This is a new book from Michio Kaku, an author of the bestselling "Parellel Worlds". I don't care much about phasers, but boy am I waiting for that teleportation thing. Is it possible at all though? Gotta read the book to find out...
Other interesting things covered in this book are time travel, telepathy, antiuniverses, perpetual motion machines, and precognition.

Description
So you've read the first volume of this amazing book, and now you're consistently breezing through the first hours of those no limit texas holdem tournaments in Las Vegas casinos. Good. But when you get close to the money, you blow your chips away and end up with nothing. Well, no worries - this book will help you with your endgame and hopefully you can finally get over the hump and bring home some nice cash for the 2nd place. Cause you know I'm taking the 1st right?

Description
'The Perl Bible', 'The Camel Book', or simply 'The Perl Book' - call it whatever you want, but it's an essential book to have on every Perl programmer's book shelf. Just be careful to use a real sturdy shelf, because this book definitely has some weight to it.
Written by Larry Wall - the creator of Perl programming language himself.

Perl Best Practices by Damian Conway
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
This book is basically a collection of advices on how to keep your Perl code efficient, clean, and maintainable. Damian is a very opinionated guy, and I don't always agree with him (I love 'unless', and I think inside-out objects are just too kludgy to be useful), but what I like about the book is that it teaches you to write clean, standards-driven, readable code. And I like clean.

Perl Pocket Reference
First to recommend
Description
I love pocket reference books. They so small and handy. Sure, I could find the same info on Internet, but I just like the availability that this tiny book gives. Since at least 50% of my work involves Perl, I always keep Perl Pocket Reference book on my desk both at work and at home.
