Apostle of Hustle - National Anthem of Nowhere

Description
Saw these guys perform at SXSW last year and have loved them ever since. Their label is Arts & Crafts, where a lot of amazing Canadian music comes from (Feist, Broken Social Scene, Stars etc.) and seriously, how do you not love their name?

I know that it's not cool to listen to music that they promote at starbucks, like we won't admit that we read books from Oprah's book club, but sometimes they just pick good stuff.

Once you get over how creepy and weird the lead singer's voice is, you'll love this entire CD.

Funeral by Arcade Fire

Description
Owning this album is not optional. There's a reason why there's so much hype around Arcade Fire, because they're amazing. Saw them at Coachella last year and it was by far the best live performance I have ever seen a band put on. Go buy it.
Every song is good.

Not as good of an album as Funeral, but still great. Arcade Fire never disappoints.

Description
Don't bother buying the whole album, all you need is Jane Fonda. The hook in this song is crazy good. This has been on my ipod for the past year and a half.

Absolutely fantastic album from start to finish. Grey's Anatomy has used TON of Jem songs on the show and it always surprises me that so few people have heard of her.

There really is no denying this album. If nothing else, it was the springboard for one of the all-time best music videos.

Lovers Electric

Description
This is the only thing I could find from Lovers Electric that you can buy online right now. David and Eden are a ridiculously cute duo from Australia who've had a lot of their sons featured on The Hills. That's right, I name dropped because I've met them a couple times.

Unwritten: Natasha Bedingfield

Description
I understand that you're all tired of Natasha Bedingfield because of the theme song from The Hills, but really nothing beats screaming along with the words "I'm siiiiiiiingleeeeeeeee, that's how I wanna be". Try it. It's liberating.

I literally have 8 different pots or tubes of lipgloss in my purse at any given moment. It's a compulsion and I can't stop.
