Tsagaan Alt is a non profit store and all products sold in Tsagaan Alt are made by home producers who have received their training through the Wool Processing and Marketing Project (WPMP), one of the four projects supported by the Norwegian Lutheran Mission (NLM) in Mongolia.

The Tsagaan Alt Wool Shop opened on the 19th of November 2001 and, since that time, has sold high quality felt and wool craft products to foreign tourists, expatriates living in Mongolia and Mongolians.
