Williams-Sonoma Home Signature Towels -- Sale!

First to recommend

Description

These towels are gorgeous and plush. I've washed mine now at least 5 times and they just keep getting softer. Best part -- they're on sale now! Great prices on their huge bathsheets. We bought them in Ivory, and they look great in both our colorful bathrooms.

Lunapads -- Ecofriendly Feminine Care

First to recommend

Description

Well, we're getting downright personal here, but no one else has recommended them, so I felt I should. Lunapads are washable, cotton (and you can choose organic cotton as well) pads for the female monthly visitor. In order to save money and stress on the environment, I decided to try them out. In the long run, they cost much less than buying disposable pads and/or liners, and I now contribute less to the ever-growing waste burden.

If you want to support women-owned and run companies, here's an opportunity. And, they're Canadian, so they're nice!

Most importantly, Lunapads are very soft and comfortable. They come in a variety of sizes and colors, and the company runs sales a few times a year, so you can get a good deal if you sign up for the newsletter.

Finally, it's not as gross as you think.

Earthbound Farm Organic Snacks

First to recommend

Description

I'm a huge fan of Earthbound Farms. Their organic foods taste great, they use biodiesel in their trucks, and they plant thousands of trees each year.

Their organic baby carrots are especially good in lunchboxes.

Newman's Own Organic Salt & Pepper Pretzel Rounds

Description

My favorite pretzels of all time. Crunchy, but not too dry. Spicy, but not too hot. Best of all, they're organic and the proceeds go to charities. Perfect with sour cream dip. Try 'em!

America's Second Harvest -- Donate to a FoodBank in a U.S. Community

First to recommend

Description

At a time when most of us Americans gorge ourselves unconscious on lavish displays of food, there are hundreds of thousands who cannot afford to eat. Please help a local foodbank to distribute food this holiday season. It's the best gift of all.

V8 Fusion Juice

First to recommend

Description

Would really love it if it were organic, but even without that, this is a really tasty alternative to one straight juice. It's made up of a variety of yummy juices, and comes in three different flavor combinations. Great to drink and use in cooking.

Vruit Berry Veggie Juice

First to recommend

Description

While I'd really love it if it were organic, Vruit is a nice blend of fruit and veggies for a quick pick-me-up. It's 100% juice, no sugar added. Nice flavors. Comes in an orange and apple base as well.

Kiehl's Lip Balm #1

12 people recommended this item

Description

I used to get sores at the corners of my mouth, but since I've been using Kiehl's lip balm no. 1, no more sores! It clears up dry lips immediately and lasts a long time. Although the super-portable tube is shown here, I bought pots of it to keep all over the house. Very handy stuff. No flavor or odor, either.

They do make versions with 15 spf and with colored dye. I've tried all those, and the original is always the best.

Indian cress instant conditioner at Molton Brown

First to recommend

Description

The best conditioner ever! It smells fantastic and is the only conditioner that makes my hair behave no matter what the weather. The best part is that a little goes a LONG way, especially since this runs US$19 per bottle.

Liberte Six Grains Yogurt (no sugar added)

First to recommend

Description

So yummy and good for you! The best yogurt I've tasted. Only a wee bit of grain inside, but the flavor and consistency are lovely. Comes in peach, raspberry, pear and strawberry. Whole Foods carries it as well as Super Stop and Shop. Not sure where else, but you can get a store locator at this site. It's a Canadian company, so you'll be able to find it all over Canada, too.
