I bought this on tape once while on a road trip, somewhere in the middle of North Carolina, so of course it triggers much nostalgia. I love practically every song to bits, but "Epistle To Dippy" and "Jennifer Juniper" and "Wear Your Love Like Heaven" are probably my faves. Who isn't crazy about Donovan?

Carnavas by Silversun Pickups

Description

I love Silversun Pickups foremost because they got their name from the package store where I buy my liquor a lot of the time, but also because singer/bassist Nikki Monninger is so fierce and has this weird, scary voice that gives me shivers, and because there's something about the guitar sound that's really dreamy and reminds me lots of Smashing Pumpkins, in the best way (and I never even cared all that much about Smashing Pumpkins in the first place). Favorite track: "Lazy Eye."
