Yes I do own these. No I don't want to talk about why. Yes I have used them. No I don't want to say how.
I will, however, say that they come in handy at the most unusual times and also make a great topper for a present.
Let's not discuss this again please. I'm a little embarassed.

: Pop culture for people in cubicles
This site is hysterical. Basically, people just download the software (free) and make graphs to post online about ridiculous topics, song lyrics, etc. Then everyone votes on 'em. You can download it yourself on the homepage and then play around a bit. So much fun.

You can draw attention to an event or promotion with cloudlike creations from Flogos, a new division of Snowmasters. Helium-injected biodegradable soap foam forced through a stencil by a generator results in high-flying designs that float thousands of feet into the sky—roughly one design every 15 seconds. Standard shapes (stars, triangles, circles) start at about $2,500 for eight hours. Custom designs are an additional $500. —Mark Mavrigian of BizBash
Flogos are designed to last for as long as their visual impact is needed. Specific formulations are available to provide a life expectancy of a few minutes to an hour or so. This also greatly depends on amospheric conditions such as wind direction and speed.
They can travel 20-30 miles and go as high as 20,000 thousand feet. They travel slow so they are very visible for a long time.

MIT OpenCourseWare: Virtually the Entire MIT Curriculum is Available Free Online for Your Use

Description
Seven years ago MIT did something extraordinary and if you haven't heard about it you really should. And you should tell everyone you know.
They put the majority of their audio, visual and class lecture coursework online. Free. For all of us to use. Yes, the same information their students get in class, now direct to our home computers to use as a resource, reference and for personal and professional enrichment. Why? Well read farther down for a message from the President.
The courses cover everything from Architecture to Music to Women's Studies. It's a virtual treasure trove that can be utilized by almost every field. So enjoy and poke around the site. I think it's one of the greatest gifts available online. And free, to boot.
Oh, and they have a companion site geared to high school students.

From the President:

"As president of MIT, I have come to expect top-level innovative and intellectually entrepreneurial ideas from the MIT community. When we established the Council on Educational Technology at MIT, we charged a sub-group with coming up with a project that reached beyond our campus classrooms.
"I have to tell you that we went into this expecting that something creative, cutting-edge and challenging would emerge. And, frankly, we also expected that it would be something based on a revenue-producing model -- a project or program that took into account the power of the Internet and its potential for new applications in education.
"OpenCourseWare is not exactly what I had expected. It is not what many people may have expected. But it is typical of our faculty to come up with something as bold and innovative as this, " President Vest commented.
"OpenCourseWare looks counter-intuitive in a market driven world. It goes against the grain of current material values. But it really is consistent with what I believe is the best about MIT. It is innovative. It expresses our belief in the way education can be advanced -- by constantly widening access to information and by inspiring others to participate," said President Vest.
"Simply put, OpenCourseWare is a natural marriage of American higher education and the capabilities of the World Wide Web," he said.

An unaired episode of Mythbusters that tests the age-old question, "Do Women Pass Gas?"
Best line? "That's totally unacceptable- you have to generate one on camera."
Although "Can I take the microphone out of my butt now?" is a close second.
Very funny. Test it out in your own office.

Walk it Out, Fosse-Style!
First to recommend
Description
In the six months or so since I've been showing this video to friends, the reactions have taken a consistent form- people start off with their mouths hanging open, at some point they begin to laugh and by the end they email the link to all their friends. It's pretty funny. No, it's really funny actually.
Basically it's a mash-up of Walk it Out and some Fosse dancers that just blends seamlessly.
My daughters and I have vowed to learn it ourselves. It would be a great lunchtime office boredom buster too...
.... personally, I like to crank it on Monday mornings just to get me in the mood for the day. Hard to be cranky when you watch this nonsense.
