Balance Bar 100 Calories: Health & Personal Care
First to recommend
Description
I think you all know this by now but I will say it again for those who don't ... I am a big fan of energy bars. I constantly recommending them on ThisNext (heck, I should put a list together ... think I will).
Anyway.
I was at Trader Joes and I stumbled upon these Balance 100 calorie bars. Now I enjoy a good Balance Bar, some of the flavors taste pretty good but many of those flavors have about 220 calories.
Ouch.
So I was delighted to see a bar for only 100. My excitement almost made me buy 10 of them but I controlled myself and got one. Um, should have got 10. These things were good. Like too good to be an energy bar good. It kinda tasted like candy but candy that is only 100 calories. I am going to order a box to keep at my desk because really isn't 100 calories better than 220?

Think Thin Bars

Description
I am a snacker, I can't help it -- it's just how I am wired. I am always looking for a new energy bar that can get me out of my 3:00 slump. Think Thin is my latest favorite. They are more candy bar like than the other energy bars out there with flavors like Peanut Butter/ Chocolate.
They have the perfect amount of calories, not too much and not too little. Bars that are loaded with calories seems like a complete waste to me and ones with too few leave me starved in a matter of hours. ThinkThin bars are satisfying and tasty.
You can usually find them at places like Trader Joes and Whole Foods the PB and Chocolate kinds are my favorite.

Out of all of the Cliff Bars these are the best flavors. Cliff Bars are filling and tasty, the only thing is they are around 240 calories -- which isn't horrible but I like to use them as a meal replacement before my workout. If you use these as snack and then have a big lunch you may as well have had a Snickers bar.

Wellements Bora Bora Organic Wellness Snack Bar, Cranberry Crunch

Description
I am into bars, specifically energy bars. They make a great snack and these days they make them taste less like dirt and more like deliciousness. One problem I was finding though is that some of them are really high in calories ... calories are not a friend of mine. I put myself on a mission to find a good tasting bar with less than 200 calories.
I have found quite a few -- Larabars are around 190 and Kind bars are 190 as well. Anyways, I went to Costco to buy one of those brands in bulk when I found Bora Bora bars.
Bora Bora bars are around 150 calories and actually taste better than Kind and Lara. They are all natural, non-GMO, they are gluten free, with no preservatives, are USDA Organic and certified vegan. PLUS they are Trans fat free. Low in sodium. No sugar added. Low glycemic carbs.
Wowsa! I think I have found the perfect nutrition bar.

I just finished eating one of these bars (well about 2 hours ago) and let me tell you ... delicious! This ranks up there with Larabars, heck it may even beat them.. Taste was great, low in calories, pretty low in fat too. I had the walnut & date bar and it was so good. I highly recommend. (via JasonCook)

Fiber One Bars Oats And Peanut Butter, 5-Count Bars

Description
Everyone is always talking about fiber. Fiber this, fiber that -- we get it we need our fiber. But how? These Fiber One bars thats now. I got a pack of these a few weeks back and I have to say, they are pretty delicious. You won't even know they are good for you. The peanut butter topping takes the edge off so they are sweet and tasty. The only issue I had with them is the texture, they are a bit tough on the teeth so bite hard.

I don't know if these count as being energy bars but be-damned if they aren't tasty. I used to pack them in my lunch when i was in high school. Occasionally I will have one as a snack now to travel down memory lane.
