I can't believe I didn't recommend these fab FLOR tiles in the shape of a traditional hopskotch game long ago. A great solution for indoor fun for kids and protection for your floor.

In addition to looking pretty darn cool, it's a smart way to let your kids hop around on one foot and throw things on your floor without ruining it!

Can Sayinli & Jørgen Evil Evkoll are artists who make silk rugs that are really art and commentary pieces.

their War rug sold at Art Basel Miami for 60k!

They do have a much larger collection than just these four, but these are standouts as far as trendy themes.

You really have to look at all the pics because it's only in the detailed pics that you can truly see the humor and imagery.

Designed by Adrien Rovero it's made up of wool carpet pieces shaped as clothes atop one another to form an area rug.

I love all of the nani marquina rugs, but "news" by martin Guixe always cracks me up because:
A) It's like the new and improved starburst (hence the name)
B) It reminds me of the Mattel logo

I just love that it's like a bright red announcement starburst.

This company makes the most beautiful and unusual fine wool rugs.The two designers are jennifer miller and MO2. They aren't cheap, but is anything that's worth having? My personal favorites are the runner that looks like wood grain, and the 'plaza' design of people casting shadows. So any of her designs are stunning, memorable and not seen in every catalogue or home. Check out their stuff! (via jmilo.com)
