About this list:

I grew up watching science fiction. Whether set in outer space or a dystopian vision of the future, aliens or killer robots, I love it all. The campier the better. Here's my list of Sci Fi films that I've enjoyed over the years and are worth watching.

Description

One of the best science fiction shows on TV. Right up there with the first dozen seasons of Stargate SG-1, but Battlestar Galactica is a bit grittier and less frolicky.

Galaxy Quest

Description

Surprise surprise! Galaxy Quest is actually a good movie. Tim Allen aside, its got a cast of super talented actors (Tony Shaloub, Allen Rickman, Sam Rockwell, Daryl Martin, Enrico Colantoni and Sigourney Weaver).
The film is a light hearted, action adventure romp that takes a tongue in cheek jab at the sci fi genre and subculture of 'Trekkies'. Fun movie you should actually make time to see. (via Amazon)

Description

Lost is an amazing show. The storyline could be a little confusing if you're just jumping in the middle. I recommend renting Seasons 1-3 before the new season starts. (via Amazon)

Although the whole "aliens built the pyramids" theory is super annoying and insulting, all-in-all this is a fun and entertaining movie. (via Amazon)
