4 people recommended this item
Description
A must have piece of hardware for a true cardboard construction worker, Mr. McGroovy's rivets securely hold cardboard together with a kid-safe snap fastening made of plastic. Rivets can be re-used although a rivet remover is recommended. Be sure to check out his project kits which include rivets, remover, a utility knife, and plans for either a kid-sized castle, pirate ship or set of knight's armor.

This is so completely fabulous. I would have loved to have been able to make my daughter a sink out of cardboard. The picture looks great- better than many commercial products I've seen.

5 meter dia. cardboard geodesic dome plans
First to recommend
Description
Buckminster Fuller can live on in every home or classroom with geodesic domes in cardboard. There are also directions for a 2 meter dome in case you want a cozier nook. These plans were originally created with a planetarium in mind, but they'd work just as well for a playhouse.

Description
This monster reference book may be a little hard to follow for folks without a background in design, but if you are looking for a fabulous one-stop reference for plans and starting points for boxes, displays and other stands this is it! There are hundred of patterns here, all of which can be resized or adapted. The only downside is that it doesn't come with a CD.

Not a Box by Antoinette Portis

Description
This book is all about what kids know (and you clearly remember if you are reading this in my list on cardboard)- that sometimes the box is more fun to play with than what's inside it. Aimed at preschool-1st grade, anyone who has played with cardboard will appreciate rabbit and his flights of fancy.

fridge box

Description
When I was 6 my dad and I built an airplane out of a cardboard box. It was _the_best_toy_EVER.
Fridge box cuts and scores the cardboard so you don't have to, creating eco-friendly, creativity friendly kits that help kids play the way they love to. The kits come in two basic models- a cottage/store/fort and pirate ship/spaceship/car. The site also sells milk paint and sticker kits, donating a portion of profits from the sales of these to non-profits.

Description
Cardboard furniture is hot right now & nowhere is it better used than with kids furniture which is going to be outgrown. Best of all, kids can help put this together and then decorate it with the colorful stickers that are included.
