About this list:

Modern menorahs are growing in popularity. And since the first years list in 2006, was such a hit I've decided to continue to scour the world and web for new and more modern menorahs to add every year to the list. Please note, this list does not include novelty or children's menorahs, of which there are many. To see other modern holiday stuff, check out my other list(s).

Menorah by Reddish Design Studio.

Description

This is such a great menorah. It consists of various 'rescued' candlesticks from different places and they rest suspended within a white wood frame. You must contact them directly for pricing or sales information.

Crayon Box Menorah By Emil Shenfeld

First to recommend

Description

The name is fun, but misleading. This is an expensive menorah ($425.00) and very modern. The name comes from the colored candles and the way they are stored in the same piece used for the display and lighting of them. But you could put any colored or monochromatic candles in there and the menorah is equally s interesting.

By Israeli artist Emil Shenfeld.

Menorah Sculpture by Jeff Owen

First to recommend

Description

A one of a kind piece of functional artwork made of welded steel that stands 43" tall, this Menorah Sculpture by Jeff Owens has little platforms for the candles. In these images he uses votive candles, but tea lights or candles in glass would be beautiful on the piece.

Asking price is $475.00, but you have to contact him for availability.

Ginkgo Contemporary Menorah

First to recommend

Description

I must confess, my biggest surprise about this modern menorah is that it's available at Walmart. It's called the Ginko oil lamp menorah, but that's because it's shaped like a modern version of a Genie's oil lamp, not because it burns oil. It doesn't, it takes candles. And yes, it kind of looks like a big whistle.

Hammered 925 Sterling Silver Hanukkah Menorah

First to recommend

Description

Stunning and modern because it resembles the present trend of faux bois (and it also reminds me of a pan flute! ) All hammered sterling silver and it stands 11.5 " tall. Very pricey at $2,052.00 USD

Yaakov Greenvurcel - Modern Menorah

First to recommend

Description

This aluminum menorah can appear two different ways because the both pieces have built in candle cups and it is perfectly balanced despite which side is standing. Another great modern menorah from artist and silversmith Yaakov Greenvurcel.
