Van Morrison: Astral Weeks
First to recommend
3 people recommended this item
Description
When my generation thinks of Van Morrison, we usually think of "Brown Eyed Girl" and that's about it. But, the highlight of his career had to of come with the '68 release of Astral Weeks. It's one of the few albums that I can listen to, in its entirety, over and over again.
In sentimental terms, it's the type of dreamy folk music that is sure to transform you to whatever happy place you want to be.

The Beach Boys: Pet Sounds

Description
Definitely not The Beach Boys top-selling album. However, it is continually considered one of the most influential albums ever made. It's said to be the major influence for "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band" and repeatedly sited as one of Elton John, Eric Clapton and many others favorite albums. Me, I simply think it's the single best album to listen to in the summer!

HAROLD AND MAUDE SOUNDTRACK: LP

Description
Another great limited edition release from Vinyl Films. Pushing 40 years, this Cat Stevens compilation has often been considered one of the best of all times. Here's the kicker, until this year fan boys have been scrambling to compile it themselves. Without further adieu, for the first time ever... the acclaimed Harold & Maude soundtrack. Not that it's a bad thing (in fact, it's a great thing), but it's only on vinyl.
It comes with a 36-page color book filled with never-before-seen photos, a 7", and posters from the film.

I think it was this album that originally got me appreciating music. Bar none, the best Counting Crows album. It will always remain one of my favorite albums of all time. Great to listen all the way through.

There is absolutely no reason I shouldn't have already recommended this band yet. They hail from the town I went to school in, they're easily one of my favorite bands and, they're, just, really awesome. Anyone who appreciates good music will appreciate Kunek.

This is and will always be one of my favorite albums of all times. Rivers Cuomo is always a superstar, but here he shines like he hasn't done since. This really is an all time classic album.

Description
There's probably less than 10 rap albums around that I could actually say I like. This is one of them. But I could probably even sound good with Quest Love and the Roots as my backup band. This really is an album that, almost, anyone could enjoy. I know I do.

Gold: Ryan Adams

Description
There's not much to say about Ryan Adams... except that he's amazing and makes awesome music. I literally like everything he's put out. However, this album tops my charts of the best Ryan Adams. This is much more classic rock than some of his new stuff. Enjoy.

Description
I know they will always be known for She Don't Use Jelly. But, even past that, a lot of you have moved on to explore the later and completely different styles of the lips. For me, this is the top of the line for them, completely fun and always a joy to sing-a-long to.
