I have this desire to put a list together. A list of everything I could ever want on a motorcycle. Sure, it might end up too heavy to pick up if I ever dropped it. And yeah, probably couldn't afford this un-liftable beastie to begin with. But I can dream!

I have mixed feelings about a product like this. On the one hand I think that everyone should pack a heavy dose of Personal Responsibility on a motorcycle tour. On the other, shit happens. (can I say that here?) I've met quite a few solo riders out traveling through some crazy places in Alaska and Central and South America, and crazy things happen in crazy place, often far and away beyond the control of the rider. I'm even thinking of a solo trip to the Baja myself, and if something happened and I couldn't get back to civilization, well, a push of the button and Civilization would instantly know I was out there and in need of assistance. Which reminds me, I think it's time to renew my medvac insurance!

Description
Most motorcycle jackets and pants advertise that they are water resistant, maybe even water proof. Most aren't. If you want to stay dry you need rainwear. Aerostitch makes some nice gear, albeit a bit spendy. In a rain storm you will decide it was worth it.
