Anthony Logistics Glycolic Facial Cleanser

4 people recommended this item

Description

It’s always the same: Guy wakes up, takes shower, goes to work. Guy probably comes into contact with inclement weather/inclement stress - dirt, oil, grime, et al. Guy needs something better than a bar of soap to prevent his skin from breaking out or drying up, but when Guy drugstore’s it, Guy sees solutions either (A) geared towards high schoolers or (B) geared towards Guy’s Girl.

Enter Anthony Logistics, a line of men’s skincare products based on Guy, for Guy, that’s reliable for long-term face fixes. The Glycolic Facial Cleanser is the basic, all-skin-type cleanser that works overtime on your face not only to help keep it clean, but balances out dryness and oily skin, preventing razor burn and ingrown hairs. It’s listed as fragrance-free, but the smell of the aloe and the grapefruit oil does come through as a strong, sweet top-note (so if you’re looking for something menthol-esque, stay away). The actual soap is thick enough to get the job done without having to scrub it off, and isn’t so thin that you have to apply a handful of it. A little effort goes a long way, and this daily face soap is a good first step to keeping Guy’s mug clean. (via HeFindsFoster)

DHC Blotter

First to recommend

Description

It’s happy hour, and that means a nice drink out with the ladies and the opportunity to chat with the cute bartender you’ve been eyeing. Before you make your move, you make a quick beeline for the ladies room and set yourself up in front of the mirror. After a slightly frantic dig through your purse, you manage to locate your elusive lip gloss. You look up, ready to get your lips all gussied up, and are mortified to find that your face is as shiny as your new metallic top.

Luckily, your girlfriend is there to witness your near panic attack, and calmly hands you a pint-sized DHC blotting paper and tells you to pat your face with it. As if by magic, this tiny, phenomenal piece of paper removes all the excess oil from your skin leaving your glossy lips the only thing shining on your face, ensuring a lovely chat with the bartender. Roberto Coin Thin 18k Gold Oval Bangle

First to recommend

Description

As a kid coming of age in the 80’s, I spent way too much time listening to The Bangles and trying to “Walk Like An Egyptian.” Well, I’m all grown up now, and my bangles focus has shifted slightly, but I still find myself fighting the urge to “Walk Like An Egyptian” whenever I have on an armful of one of this season’s hottest jewelry trends: bangles.

My taste in music has evolved, and apparently, so have bangle bracelets. This season bangles made a sophisticated foray into the fashion world, and appear to be multiplying on the arms of celebs. There’s nothing basic about this season’s bangles, available in a huge variety of colors, shapes and textures.

Go for the gold with this collection of Robert Coin bangles available in rose, yellow and white gold. (via SheFindsTasha)

Dr. Hauschka Hand Cream 1.7 oz

Description

I’m willing to wager that most of us rely on our hands for our livelihood. Imagine trying to get through your workday without typing an e-mail, dialing a phone, flipping through papers — and that’s not to mention all the hands-intensive stuff we do before we even leave the house in the morning. As temperatures remain low, our poor little paws are at their most defenseless, but since they’re so crucial in helping you to earn a paycheck, wouldn’t it be nice to do a little something to show you care?

Thick, aromatic hand cream from Dr. Hauschka — a Jennifer Aniston and Parker Posey fave — is like a cashmere coat for your mitts. It protects them against the nasty winter elements that suck moisture from your skin, leaving your hands smooth, pliable and ready to help you do all the little things that get you through your day. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes!

Description

We can be pretty lazy about our makeup sometimes but two things we will never leave home without are our lip gloss and a stunning mascara. Those two items always make us feel like a star, and one of the most ‘fashionable’ mascaras we’ve found is ‘Lights, Camera, Lashes!’ from Tarte.

Although the faux snakeskin purple case isn’t exactly our style, the mascara steals the show. It’s a 3-in-1 product that claims to lengthen, curl and volumize your lashes. We tend to think that nothing curls eyelashes except the ridiculous-looking metal clamp of the same name, but ‘Lights, Camera, Lashes’ does a decent job, and definitely draws out those little lashes from hiding – proving yet again that a small bit of makeup can go a long way.
