Organic Hemp Washcloth

Description

There are so many problems with cotton! The cotton industry uses 52% of the world's agricultural inputs, while only producing 4% of the world's agricultural crop. It is such an energy- (and chemical-) intensive crop to produce. Hemp, on the other hand, is a fast-growing, sustainable crop that needs little or no irrigation or pesticides, produces very nutritional beneficial oils and seeds, and has a fiber that is tougher than cotton and mildew-resistant. You'll love this hemp washcloth!

A Wild Soap Bar Handmade, Exotic Soap Sampler

First to recommend

Description

I swear, you will never want to use another soap after you try these! I have totally re-evaluated my assumptions as to what a soap should be. These are the most heavenly, aromatic, beautiful, and wildly unique soaps I have ever used. They do not dry your skin out AT ALL- instead, they leave you totally moisturized and your skin silky-smooth, not to mention smelling like a million bucks. And the scents.... oh my GOSH! Imagine these soaps (if only computers could deliver scents as well as images!): bluebonnet, mesquite, prickly pear, wildflower, horsemint, sunflower, cedarwood, and yucca root....

And they are even so gentle that they can be used on your face as well ( and I have fairly sensitive skin, but no problems with these soaps...).

My personal fave is wildflower, and my husband likes cedarwood, but we most enjoyed trying them all.

Natural and Handmade Organic Bark Soap

Description

This stuff is awesome! It is the most moisturizing and silky smooth natural soap I have ever used! Many natural soaps leave my skin dry and flaky later in the day, but I have not had that problem with A Wild Soap Bar's soaps. And this one is spicy, exotic, and ORGANIC!

Handmade, All-Natural Wildflower Soap

First to recommend

Description

Totally indulgent and heavenly, this all-natural soap is a work of art. Just look at it! Gorgeous!

Made of shavings from many different exotic soaps, including horsemint, cedarwood, passionflower, yucca, and blue bonnet, this soap will quickly become your favorite.

It is so moisturizing, I don't even need lotion after I shower now. No drying chemicals like conventional soap bars. And the scent- OMG, the delicious scent!

Regularly priced $6.00 at The Greater Green, on sale for $5.25. Lasts much longer than a regular bar of soap, too!

Handmade Necklace with Eco-Friendly Tagua Nut Pendant

First to recommend

Description

Looking for jewelry with a purpose? The new style statement is Tagua Nut, or "vegetabel ivory"- a wonderfully sustainable material that is not only gorgeous, but also helps preserve rainforests.

See, if villages in Central and South America can make money off of the naturally-growing tagua nut rainforest trees, then there is no reason to clear cut the rainforest.

But the thing is that tagua nut is an incredibly unique and beautiful material for making pendants. Look at the natural swirls in the photo. Every pendant is totally unique.

Additionally, these necklaces are artisan-made right here in the USA, with other handmade beads from around the world.

And for only $24.99, they make a very affordable fashion AND environmental statement (and a great gift, too)! I love telling strangers the story of the tagua nut when they comment on how beautiful and unusual my necklace is.
