About this list:
grandpa's confused because he had too much eggnog, your sister forgot her meds, and your cousin's date is hitting on your boyfriend. mom isn't talking to dad, dad isn't talking to aunt lola, and aunt lola is talking too much. everyone else is loud, angry, depressed and just downright insane, but you? you're as happy as a foster farms chicken because though family and friends might be totally dysfunctional, the holiday dinner and table you've prepared is totally fabulous.

Two different probes with two different temperature settings because Dad doesn't eat turkey so you have to bake a ham, too. The remote control means you can watch the parade in the living room and still know when "it's done."

Morton Coarse Kosher Salt

Description
I used to buy the Diamond Krystal Kosher salt, but recently, have not been able to find it. For some reason, it seemed wrong to buy Morton's Coarse Kosher salt (it just didn't seem "kosher" enough) but Morton's was my only option at the store, so I bought it.
Well! Who knew Morton's would taste the same?!?!
It's salt, for Pete's sake, and when I'm only using it to brine a bird, the "big" brand is fine with me.

turkey brining bags

Description
in the words of my hero, a brined turkey is "good eats." sure, you might happen to have a completely sanitized 20-gallon bucket laying around your kitchen just like alton brown, but IF YOU DON'T, turkey brining bags are the next best thing. in fact, they might even be better because it'll take up less space in your refrigerator.

Plugra European Style Unsalted Butter
First to recommend
Description
Plugra European-style butter.
Not all butters are created equally. Some are better than others, and Plugra is the best (at least, of the butters I have tried).
The name Plugra comes from the French words "plus" and "gras," which means "more fat." Yes, plugra butter is higher in fat content, which means it is richer and more flavorful, and if you're worried about fat, you shouldn't be eating butter in the first place.

all-clad stainless steel roasting pan

Description
don't let the clean-up convenience and pocket-change price of disposable aluminum roasting pans con you -- they just aren't strong enough for your voluptuous beauty of a bird. a heavy roasting pan with a rack might cost your wallet, but save your sanity.
