sunday dinner with your dysfunctional family - a list by thedelicious

About this list:
grandpa's confused because he had too much eggnog, your sister forgot her meds, and your cousin's date is hitting on your boyfriend. mom isn't talking to dad, dad isn't talking to aunt lola, and aunt lola is talking too much. everyone else is loud, angry, depressed and just downright insane, but you? you're as happy as a foster farms chicken because though family and friends might be totally dysfunctional, the holiday dinner and table you've prepared is totally fabulous.

pyrex digital meat & poultry thermometer

Description
sorry girls, roasting a turkey isn't like finally meeting mr. right -- you won't "just know." which ever recipe you're using to roast your bird, you'll only know when it's done by reading a final temperature on a thermometer. the pyrex digital thermometer also has a timer that lets you know when the bird is finally all worked up into a hot sweat so you don't have to keep checking in. not sure that's the case with mr. right.

fit fruit and vegetable wash

Description
this is serious business. this washing of fresh fruits and vegetables, so no silly words here about FIT. i am no freaky weird girl-in-a-bubble germaphobe, but i use FIT fruit and vegetable wash on EVERY fruit and vegetable that comes into my house, even if it's labeled as organic, even if i bought it from the farmers' market from the hot son of the farmer from whom i've been buying fresh figs for five years. it not only dissolves those disgusting waxes and preservatives that the grocery store sprays on (which can trap bacteria and other weird stuff), but it washes away excess dirt and human germs that are everywhere, no matter your source.
for your thanksgiving salad -- and yes, there better be at least ONE salad on that table because potatoes don't count as vegetables -- dunk your lettuce in FIT. or spray your bosc pears with FIT. or whatever else you're putting in there.
