If you've ever owned a volkswagen (my dad STILL owns a 72 camper and my first car was a bug), you will pee your pants laughing just over the volkswagen humor. Steve Carrell is fabulous but not what you expect and Alan Arkin is hilarious. My only criticism of this movie is, as a die-hard, memorized-every-line of National Lampoon's Vacation - there are just a few too many blatant rip-offs. For having just won "Best Original Screenplay," at the Academy Awards, the premise of the movie is far from original. But still worth seeing more than once. And it is as depressing as it is funny. My kind of movie. (via cubb06)

Am I the only one who thinks the lines in this movie are hilarious? How can you not laugh at "It puts the lotion on its skin and then it puts the lotion in the basket"? A superb film and a funny one too if you've seen it as many times as I have.
