MERCY CARDSET

First to recommend

Description

This set of cards made me smile...

This deck of calling cards allows you to ask for mercy -- or show none, perhaps. You get 3 each of 8 different phrases, to use at your discretion:

Mercy
Never, ever bring this up again
Shut your mouth and take off your clothes
I am right you are wrong
I am being a jerk but I can't help it
You are right I am wrong
I don't even know what we're arguing about
I am in a bad mood and taking it out on you

The cards are tucked in a handy recycled paper letterpressed box for you to put in your pocket.

Gods and Goddesses Card Deck: Mantras, Blessings, and Meditations (Mandala Wisdom Decks): Editors of Mandala Publishing

First to recommend

Description

By no means an exhaustive amount, but for most an abundance of cards highlighting a particular deity of the Hindu pantheon including corresponding mantras, meditations, and blessings.

They are beautiful, well-done and informative and give information junkies like me a starting point to further explore Hindu gods and goddesses. (via amazon.com)

Godiva Chocolate Brownies

First to recommend

Description

These brownies are beyond decadent. They are so delicious. Luckily, they are so rich, that I can't sit and eat half a box in one sitting. Plus, they're too expensive for that. They are a treat to be savored. But after they are gone --- you just want more. Godiva may as well put crack in their brownies. (via godiva.com)

BUST Magazine

Description

I've been a happy subscriber to BUST for years now, and I love the articles, recommendations and other fun works and words encased within. Happy-happy stuff for geek-rockers, post-fem homemakers, art school drop-outs, lesbian fashionistas, button-pushers, indie chicks and rollerderby queens.

Definitely for those of us sick of the average women's magazine articles: "Straight-off-the-runway hair styles," "How to please him in bed," "What to wear now." Gah.

I had to put up the Elijah Wood cover, because he's so gosh-darn cute.

my soul to keep: babyface silk pillowcase

First to recommend

Description

Talk about true decadence. Before worrying about which potion to put on your face, consider this: one third of our time is spent in bed, sleeping on cotton pillowcases that cause friction - forming creases on our faces, pulling on our skin and hair, and causing bedhead. Sleeping on silk prevents all of this because skin and hair glide freely. (via mysoultokeep.net)
