Inherit the Wind (1960)

Description
This is a great film. I think I was not too into it when I was forced to watch it, but I has Spencer Tracy in it so that alone makes it good in my book.
It is a classic, and I wouldn't kick it off my shelf.
Chance I won't leave the room if he decides to watch it: very good!
From the website:
Two-time Best Actor OscarÂ(r) winners* Spencer Tracy and Fredric March go toe-to-toe in this thrilling re-creation of the most titanic courtroom battle of the century. Garnering four Academy AwardÂ(r) nominations**, including Best Actor (Tracy), and featuring Gene Kelly in a rare, critically-acclaimed dramatic role, Inherit the Wind is powerful, provocative cinema and "a heaping measure of entertainment" (The Hollywood Reporter)! The controversial subject of evolution versus creation causes two polar opposites to engage in one explosive battle of beliefs. Attorney Clarence Darrow (Tracy) faces off against fundamentalist leader William Jennings Bryan (March) in a small Tennessee town where a teacher has been brought to trial for teaching Darwinism. Let the trial begin...and watch the sparks fly!

I don't know why, but I can't watch Mel Gibson movies anymore since The Patriot (which I disliked to such a degree, I was kicked out of the room until it was over). I mean, I know this isn't a bad movie, but it is not for me.
I know it is good, but he can keep it on his shelf.

Description
I have nothing against Westerns, but I am not a fan of Val Kilmer's (sorry.) This is not bad, but I grow tired of watching people die of consumption and such. Kurt Russel is awesome in it.
I like it, but it can stay on his shelf.
Chance I won't leave the room if he decides to watch it: fair
Here is what the website says:
A sizzling, star-studded cast brings to life the legendary battle to deliver justice to TOMBSTONE! Kurt Russell (MIRACLE, VANILLA SKY) turns in a gripping performance as U.S. Marshall Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer (THE MISSING, BATMAN FOREVER) ignites the screen as the outrageous Doc Holliday. Together, they team up to bring law to the lawless in a notorious showdown with the ruthless outlaws at the O.K. Corral! The all-star ensemble also includes Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Dana Delany, Jason Priestley, Michael Biehn, and long-time Hollywood favorite Charlton Heston. Get ready for an explosive, action-packed adventure the Wild West would never forget!
