These Days - Vince Gill

Description
A little bit country, a lot of soul, and great guitar. Vince Gill's album Three Days is a nice listen for those of us who aren't typically drawn to country music. The Grammy nomination definitely adds some appeal.
* Update: Best Country Album of the year! This will definitely be the soundtrack of choice for my next barnyard hoe-down.

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black

Description
I must admit I'm not one to stay on top of the pop music scene, but one album I did invest in this year was Amy Winehouse's Back to Black. We've all seen this tabloid queen in action this year, but if you haven't given her Grammy-nominated album a listen, you're missing out. Her soulful voice transports you back to a time when music was about someone's voice and not computers. It's no surprise she's also nominated for Best New Artist.
This album also features the nominated Record of the Year Rehab - whether she's in or out of treatment, I hope she wins a Grammy this year.
Update: 5 Grammy's for Ms. Winehouse! Don't stay in rehab too long, we need you.
