Such A Tee-se - a list by nanashi

About this list:
I love t-shirts. I mean, what's not to love: the insane variety of neck cuts, styles, the fact that they are the most basic way for an artist to break into fashion or the fact that they look good on almost everyone? Perhaps its the fact that they can be shirts, or dresses, casual or proffessional, or maybe its the fact that you can make a noticable statement for next to nothing. Well whatever your beef is with these staples of leisure wear, maybe this list tees picked by yours truely can change your mind.
Qualifications:
I own more tees than Calvin Klein and Homer Simpson combined

Sublimination Kaleidoscope Tee
First to recommend
Description
Some girls avoid t-shirts. The most comfortable and potentially out-spoken item of clothing, canvass for oh so many designers is being avoided. Why? Because the t-shirt isn't girly enough. The shape looks like two pieces of rectangular fabric sewn together, with no thought put into form of the wearer at all. This t-shirt design takes this into consideration, and has added an elastic band waist perfect for belting. Available in three beautiful prints, this shirt is sure to please even the girliest of girls.

Oak | won hundred - macy addicted tee

Description
'I've Been Addicted to Black' reads this jersey t-shirt dress in fading blue-green writing. Wear it with jeans or alone as a dress, you'll be sure to turn some heads.

Luella Pony print T-shirt

Description
My Little Pony meets R. Crumb, or something like that.
I know, I've had enough of the overpriced 80s references too, but this *is* cute.

Dollhouse | Paris Hilton - Paris for President Tee

Description
Recommendations:
The long way:
Based on Paris Hilton's "election campaign" video, engineered in response to one of McCain's own campaign video. 100% cotton is always a plus (I hate synthetics). Featured on the cover of November's Nylon magazine as worn by Paris herself!
The short way:
Two words: that's hot.

Alexander McQueen@ for Target Print Tee - Ebony
4 people recommended this item
Description
One thing I hate about living in Canada: missing out on all of Target's cooler diffusion lines for GO. This month's Alexander McQueen line is too cool for words. The part of me that knows all the words to "Pretty Vacant" is just screaming for this punky t-shirt. And it's much cheaper (and chicer) than a kilt.

The Invisible DJ LnA Music Tee
First to recommend
Description
Probably the best two things in the world have to be music and fashion. Probably the best idea in at least a few centuries: the Music Tee by LnA and The Invisible DJ. This shirt brings music and fashion closer than ever before (no small feat for a 100% cotton blend statement piece). The front of the shirt features beautiful, original "album art" by LnA artists, and on the back is a track listing of some cool folk-rockers as curated by Invisible DJ's Jeremy Wineberg. Also on the shirt is a nifty hang-tag featuring a code that will allow you (yes you!) to download each and every one of these tracks off of LnA's site. The shirt retails for $60- no it's not exactly Hane's pricing, but what other chance will you get to be a walking album cover? So I guess what I'm saying is: Support the Arts! and look fabulous doing it.
Tracks:
Magic Arm – “Widths and Heights”
The Asteroids Galaxy Tour – “Around the Bend”
Lettie – “What You Get”
Passenger – “Things You’ve Never Done”
Holmes – “Wake Up”
WAZ – “Out of Place
Amy Kuney – “Simple Things”
Charlie Mars – “Listen to the Dark Side”
Alice Russell – “Turn and Run”
Theresa Andersson – “Hi-Low”
The Silent Years – “On Our Way Home”
Mason Proper – “Point A Point B”
Nive Nielsen – “Room”
Afternoons – “Say Yes”
(sorry for the long recommendation!)
