Shure - SE310 Sound Isolating Earphones
First to recommend
Description
I am a huge music fan and love to listen to great music on great headphones while I am out on my mountain bike or at work. Recently, I lost an old pair of headphones and treated myself to a pair of Shure 310's which are kind of pricey (~$250) but sound AWESOME!. The shure 310's have these really comfy sound-isolating foam earpieces that do a great job of blocking out external sounds and make the shures fit a bit better (the 310's are large as ear bud style headphones go so the extra foam helps them stay in your ear better which reduces ear fatigue and keeps them from bouncing out as you are walking or riding.)
From what I gather, the shure 410's sound even better than the 310's but the 310's were good enough since I am mostly going to use them while riding so it is not a silent environment around me. They sound fantastic when playing pounding electronica, spacey ambient, and even the huge ranges you encounter when listening to classical.

Arnette Rage POLARIZED Sunglasses

Description
I love dark wraparound sunglasses- keep the bad UV out and lets you look where you want and no one knows. Also, polarized lens are a must- see thru water glare and make the sky turn different shades w/a turn of your head.
Arnette Rage are my latest pair of wraps. Got them in matte black w/grey lens. Great for sports, work, or free time.

Tissot T-Touch - Mens outdoor watch

Description
Tissot T-Touch watches are super cool and multi-functional, doing everything from telling time to telling you your altitude and compass bearing. For me the key attributes in a good watch are 1, does it have a good alarm; 2, does it have a good chronograph; 3, does it look cool; 4, can i wear it to a biz meeting; and, 5, most importantly, can it survive on various adventures. The Tissot T-Touch succeeds on all fronts. Plus it has a groovy orange rubber band (orange is my favorite color)

Fit Ball
First to recommend
Description
Fit Balls are inflatable exercise balls that are great for helping to develop core/abdominal strength, as well as balance. I use mine for ab work-outs that are low-stress on my back but high intensity for my core. Fit Balls are great overall training tools and I recommend them for any sport which requires solid core strength (which is really just about every sport)
I also use my Fit Ball as a chair. Sitting on one of these balls while working is fun, good for your balance, and does not cut blood off to your legs the way some chairs can when they hit the back of your knees/hamstrings. I am 6'2". If you are my height, get the 75cm ball. Also be sure to get the pump. Makes life much easier.
If you have kids, Fit Balls are a super fun toy for them as well. Imagine if you had had a ball as big as you were tall when you were a kid. How cool is that?!

GNC Pro Performance - Mega MRP - Chocolate Drink Mix
First to recommend
Description
OK- this stuff is a bit of an acquired taste but I happen to really like it. It tastes like chocolate (which is not true of many "chocolate" sports drinks), it mixes easily, and it fills me up. Plus it seems to work and has lots of protein. I often drink one of these 20 min or so before surfing or beginning a climbing session and it keeps me going throughout.

M Ultra Gore-Tex XCR Footwear

Description
The North Face's M Ultra Gore-Tex XCR trail-running shoes are awesome: great support, super sturdy, breathable, and cool-looking. They also have a really good tread on them w/some reasonably sticky rubber so they are good for scrambling and more rugged terrain. Usually, I am just a Nike guy but I will definitely be buying more of The North Face's shoes in the future.

Description
My new Nike + sneakers! I usually get Air Max shoes but decided to try the Shox since they look cool and people seem to love them. I am not disappointed. I like the new styling, the shoe is very light but rugged enough I can trailrun in them and not worry about popping them. Plus they breathe really well and fit my size 13, medium-width, realtively flat-arched foot well.
And the Nike + system that tracks my runs is sooooo cool.
If you run w/a nano already, yoou should try out the Nike + system

Nike+ iPod Sport Kit
31 people recommended this item
Description
Nike and Apple have created Nike + tech which combines pedometers and ipod nanos. the Nike+ system consists of Nike + kit which is a litte extension that clips onto the bottom of your nano and a small sensor that fits in a special slot in select Nike + shoes. The sensor keeps track of how far your run and your time, the nano displays the results. The system is really easy to use and works amazingly well (though I wish it would count steps, not just guestimate distances since I run in the hills so the distance calculations are not going to be as accurate). It also estimates calories burned based on sex, age, and weight. Very cool. And you get to choose your own music and even a "power song" for when you really need to get fired up. A running essential

These guys have built a fantastic online record label that sources some simply awesome dance music. I think their electronica, trance, and deep house artists are especially strong. I highly recommend you subscribe to the podcast as it will give you a good smapler of what they offer and you can then click-thru to buy the tracks.
I love listening to this stuff when I am grinding out an enduro work-out, whether that be running, biking, at the climbing wall. Also good for keeping my energy and focus when working and I need to be in my own world to concentrate
