Organic Cotton Spring Blossom Sateen Bedding

First to recommend

Description

Still not the most inexpensive in the market, but I'm just happy organic no longer means ugly... Seriously... Or over-the-top design. This is subtle and beautiful... Makes for a calming environment.

Keetsa eco-friendly mattress

First to recommend

Description

A friend of mine just recommended this mattress. I was blown away I didn't know about the sooner, considering the 'kewl' green factor with its manufacturing process and use of materials. I can't say it is great. I haven't used it. But I can say that they're trying to be great. Conscientious use of materials at conscientious price points... That is exactly what is needed in order to change how we use and waste.

The next mattress product I buy, you can bet it will be from Keetsa. (Okay, unless it becomes a poor experience, which I doubt.)

CEIVA remote digital photo sharing display

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

The fact that you can send photos remotely is quite amazing. My mum, for example, does not own a computer. I have difficulty sending her photos, since they're all digital and a pain to print, not to mention expensive.

Besides, what a great eco-friendly way to exchange photos without the cost and waste of paper!

Can I say I love the leopard skin option? Not for mum, but for me...

Patagonia Lightweight Travel Duffel

First to recommend

Description

I am a fan of wheeled duffel bags. It fits more than the other, stiff ones. (That didn't sound right, did it?)

This one is made of 47% recycled materials. I like. Oh, I also like yellow because it screams to me from baggage claim.

FLOR Shirt Stripe - Stripe A Pose

Description

I have long hallways, and I've been the idiot looking for the right length rugs (impossible so far). Duh! Flor rugs are perfect for hallways! Sometimes...

I also love the fact it contains 45% recycled materials.

Idea Paint

Description

This product is impressive. The ability to turn any wall into a highly functional white board is already a great idea, but the fact it's one of the most eco-friendly solutions to white board options makes it an amazing concept. I can't wait to use this in my own home!

Delux 24" Bamboo Rake

First to recommend

Description

Lately, I've been trying to follow the footsteps of my mother and grandmothers. In Vietnam, we used bamboo rakes. There's something that feels so much better when using bamboo... Like the scratching sound when it hits concrete. The metal rakes make me cringe. The bamboo sound is almost soothing.

Paper Refuse Bags

First to recommend

Description

Recycled and biodegradable. Super strong paper bags that can go beyond refuse. I currently have ten bags temporarily storing lava rocks.

You can also use the thrashed ones as lawn liners to prevent weed growth. Great trick. These will decompose faster than regular cardboard boxes.

1BOG's purpose is to make solar more accessible by creating critical mass demand, which results in decreased costs to the individual. I love it.
