These shiny shiny patent spectators are spectacular! I love the little bow, the contrasting black and grey and the lowish heel (hey 2 inches means they can go everywhere!). They look like they'd look great with pants or with a skirt, a fall staple perhaps?

When I look at these shoes I see Audrey Hepburn for some reason. I'm not sure why, but they just seem to have that certain flare that she had. Maybe it's the red patent snake skin. Maybe it's the slightly impish feeling? Maybe it's the cute little buckle? I don't know. Any way you slice it I think they are the kind of shoes that need to come home with me (plus they are on sale!)

I love the wedge and I love how every summer the wedge is there (thank you fashionistas!). Because the wedge makes sure that you have a bit more stablity when you are at picnic, on the beach, or just out for a stroll. Toss in a bit of shiny yellow and cork and you have a shoe that allows you to be comfortable and take advantage of the yellow trend in a subtle way.

Black slides like this are indispensable to my summer wardrobe. The last pair I had the dog chewed up, but I have better hope for this next pair. After all one doesn't let a dog chew up Cole Haans. With their solid wedge and shiny patent criss crossing straps these shoes provide the extra stability needed to tromp around on the spring ground.

My shoe closet explodes with black shoes, black ballet flats, black slingbacks, black pumps, black boots. Black pumps are the quintessential wardrobe accessory! And these black pumps have the Jimmy Choo seal of excellence (so to say). I love the tiny little gold ring at the toe and the slightly high heel. Perhaps 100mm isn't comfortable walking heel height, but they are perfect for slight jaunts around the office.

Kate Spade, I love you. Some days you go a little crazy, but most days you are the picture of preppy perfection. These Mary Janes are a little bit more grown up. I still remember when that Aqua song came out, you know the one. As much as I wished I could say my strong woman self was up in arms about the objectification of women, but even in my innocent high school fervor I couldn't. I found it catchy!

And now the shoes, these beautiful pink plastic (well patent) Prada pumps come. The heel is significantly high while still being low enough for daily wear (unlike my last sky high pair of pink patent heels). The pink is an amazingly bright (so barbie girl!) pink. Life in plastic, it's fantastic.

Description

The best part of about spring is the lack of snow on the sidewalks. I love snow and all of the associated snow related activities, but, it's murder on my shoes. My pretty suede boots get bent out of shape and my peep toed pumps gets my toes all wet. In eager anticipation of spring, these peep toes patent camel and black pumps can't wait to clack on the pavement. In addition to adoring the colors (camel and black, you match so much of my wardrobe), the slingback and almost kitten heeled nature of these shoes makes me look out the winter and fervently wish that the snow on those sidewalks would melt.

When I as a young girl, I used to love watching my mother get ready to go to work. She always looked so professional. Suit skirts, starched shirts and a nice jacket...to a five year old it all seemed so glamourous. Now that casual Friday has crept into corporate culture, you don't see as many skirts as I used to. None the less, I still like to find a nice skirt to wear for work or, just around. This black knee length skirt looks like it would sit at that perfect length and would look professional in either the work world or in daily life. Plus the little hint of patent makes it slightly more than just my mother's wardrobe.

Quilted barn jackets, quilted vests, quilted purses....is there anything that quilting doesn't make better? These quilted pumps from Dolce & Gabbana make me realize shoes are just another logical step in the "what-can-quilted-make-better" contest. When I was in college we had this vintage dance, now I never particularly got along with my roommate, but she did have this fantastic closet. It was stuffed with finds from the local vintage store and one of my favorite pieces that she had was glorious full length swing coat. I've had a weakness for swing coats ever since. And this patent swing raincoat is no exception. Three-quarter sleeves and my favorite type of cut combine to make a glorious raincoat that will be perfect for the soon to come winter days.

These boots were made for walking and that's jut what I'll do....walk all over life. There is something about late winter that makes me want to bust out my boots. And these black, shiny patent leather boots with a phenomenal stiletto heel are perfect for walking. I enjoy the little gold medallion on the side and the discreet gold rivet on the back of the heel. I'm thinking over a darker than midnight denim skinny jean.

There is something about Chanel Vamp that makes you feel special. It's deep red almost brown/black color is magnificent. So imagine my happy surprise when I saw this burberry patent wristlet. Ruffles! Patent! Black! Burberry! This trench coat is so pretty, I think I might want to make it a dress...though it would do wonderfully as a trench coat too. It has seemingly miles and miles of ruffled silk and is cinched by a broad band of patent. A trench like this deserves to shine. Perfect for a night out over that "oh-so-short" minidress.
