Blue Genie Vintage Belts

belts are so grossly underrated by most people, including by me (formerly) until i started using them to change the lock of dresses and they REALLY could change the way a whole thing looked - an entire outfit can be transformed by a belt, or even two belts --- these vintage belts from Blue Genie are beautiful and right in fashion right now, but that's irrelevant (because we all know , Do not wait for the iron to get hot: make the iron hot by striking..., as Yeats said.... in other words, don't follow trends, etc... ) Rules are meant to be broken and vintage clothing somehow helps us do that -- check these out... i love them. -- sadi ranson-polizzotti

Plain Gold & Platinum Bands - Vortex

I'm married but have a diamond wedding ring, but there is something so elegant and beautiful about a simple gold band that I actually switched to a plain engraved gold band just like the one here and i wear it with my platinum engagement ring on top on the other hand, i wear a plain gold band with a platinum ring on top so that both ring fingers match on each hand and the effect is very chic and balanced. never undervalue simplicity....

I love this dress and not all, but some of the sites on this site - (not all), but this is very now, very prim but sexy the same time (the best combination) and ties in the back, flattering the waist, unlike many dresses like this. This is gorgeous, very Audrey Hepburn, I think... an updated version. Would look great with a pair of Prada heel mary -janes or flat ballet slippers...

Wool Flannel Shirtdress - Charcoal Heather

you can't go wrong with this for winter and early spring and this is a STEAL right now and is classic... what i like about it is the way it DRAPES, which reminds me of Donna Karan dresses, which we used to use at Vogue a lot, and in a similar jersey fabric, although this is wool, it has a similar look and feel to it...

It's worth the price and then some and there are some other great dresses as well on the site for a steal... terrific with grey or green tights and a great pair of heels, or even flats (i love ballet flats) and i love Mary Janes as well - so you can get both, or try both and make the dress more versatile... this wiht yoru hair in a bun or bobbed would be terrific.

i've never seen anything like this - jewelry made of sea-glass; bracelets, pendants, rings, everything - and all from naturally washed-up sea-glass - really really beautiful pieces and not prohibitively expensive but reasonable... stand apart from the crowd in an exquisite piece worthy of conversation...

The Carrotbox - glass rings

i own one of these, several actually if you count the white one, and they are beautiful on. This one is curved inward for your finger and fits beautifully, allow a little extra room for sizing because of the width of the glass - i have small hands and on my middle finger, i take about a 7 or 8, which is surprising, but the ring has to get over the knuckle...

these are very chic, tho i wouldn't wear more than one at a time... you don't want too many rings on; it just looks too cheap, i think....

Vintage, Circa 1950s leather handbag

Description

Very hard to find good handbags, and I seek seek seek Greenwich Village and have yet to find one such as this. It's difficult to find bags in good condition with a clasp that is solid. This is an excellent site with a good variety. This is almost exactly like Grace Kelly's bag in Dial M for Murder, not that we want to be HER in that film, but every girl has a little Grace Kelly in her.... no? Many more beautiful bags on this site....

vintage full lace slip - butter yellow

Description

so hard to find mint condition full slips that are vintage, and sadly, a dying thing and not many women wear them anymore (they have gone the way of gloves and hats). But for those of us who love to "dress" this site has some of the best of the best. This pale buttery lemon slip is lovely.
