I live in a small space (650 sq ft) and I actually enjoy living in small spaces. I always appreciate pieces that are well-designed for small space living with 'looking' like they were made for compact spaces. At first glance, this list is going to look really random. But look again. Many pieces have multiple uses -- like the ottoman that could seat 3 at a party. Some pieces are just the perfect scale -- big style in small packages. A few are space-saving, but in non-traditional ways.

I loved this table so much that I purchased it in another finish for my home. But this color is fabulous! Called celadon, I really think it looks more like aqua.

Great table for small spaces. The height allows it to be used as a side table or a coffee table, and the lower shelf adds another storage or display surface.

Calypso Toy Trolley

I was at the Container Store yesterday and fell in love with, well, just about everything. I especially likes this little trolley, which would be great for toys, but probably has a million other uses too. Pile up sweaters, boots or handbags in your closet. Use it for magazines. I really wanted to use it for hanging files, but haven't figured out yet how to make that happen. I need one of those file drawer inserts.

Anyway, the bright colors and casters really make this a great find.

Movable, flexible storage -- great for small spaces.
