Description
A classic black suit is one of those pieces that you never want to buy but really should because they are important. You can wear it on an interview, on the job, and you can break up the suit and wear the pieces as separates. This one from Jones New York is affordable and classic. So jump on it.

Jones New York: Oh-So-Preppy Belted Sweater And Blouse In One

Description
I love the idea of wearing this underneath a suit. Sure it can be a little hot during sometimes of the year but if you walk into the interview and you feel waaaay too overdressed you can take off the jacket and still look chic. Also works as a great look for when you get the job too.

Super stylish and looks super expensive, but isn't! We like that. A lot. The perfect bag to keep your necessities and a copy of your resume for that oh-so-important first interview.

Always wear closed toe shoes to an interview (well, 90% of the time depending on the job.) These are classic, not too high (but not too low), and the buckle gives them a little something extra.

If you don't want to go with a suit, then classic separates will always do the trick. I love this gray pencil skirt, its very basic but not boring at all thanks to the sarong like twist.

The most you should wear on your wrists during a job interview is a watch. A great watch. Plus it looks much more professional to check the time with a slick watch than pulling out your cell phone every 5 minutes.

I am a gum girl but when it comes to job interview breath, you can't risk getting caught snapping your gum. Pop in a mint while you wait for your interviewer to come grab you. That way if you aren't finished you can swallow or chew it up real fast ;)
