About this list:

Barbara Kruger was genius. Those three colors could cover jst about everything you need. Predominantly black & white, because contrast is king, but some red never hurt anyone

I should be related to the White Stripes

Swallow Cup from CAKE

First to recommend

Description

They say it's their take on the classic mint julep cup. Not knowing much about mint juleps or the cups they are imbibed from, I'll have to take their word for it. But I do love these, especially as a pair. They look smart and smightly whimsical. For some reason I see them being a really cute pair of his and her cups in a bathroom, but they'd fit right in on a summer patio as well.

Platter No.24 from apmDesign

First to recommend

Description

Ok, yes this platter is a little pricey ($150), but it's pretty large (13"x9"), and produced by an independent artist. I really love the minimal, natural design. It's slightly remiscent of Japanese designs in a kinda wabi-sabi way.

Whirl Bowl with Pebble Slip Design from Kim Westad

First to recommend

Description

What a unique piece. The spiral design alone sets this bowl apart and makes it a great addition to any kitchen. It'd be great as a centerpiece, but the fact that it's foodsafe means that you simply can't pass it up. I really like the pebble accents as well. Even with a simple white, unglazed finish, it will stand out. I can't wait for them to be back in stock. I need one (or four) of these!

Black and Silver Fan Necklace from Swizzlet

First to recommend

Description

Swizzlet started off seeling these off yet interesting bracelets made from swizzle sticks (hence the name). While I did like a couple of the designs, I really like how they've branched out with their more recent designs. I particularly like this necklace. It's very retro, and for some reason gives me a Great Gatsby impression. It'd look kick-ass on its own, but I think it'd also layer really well.

Ahhh. Now this looks like a great summer lounge chair. I love the texture of it, and the curvy lines just seem so relaxed and comfortable. I can see myself sunning already.

Harry Allen: Lock Keychain

First to recommend

Description

Available in black, white and red (oh do they know what I love or what?) A truly simple design, executed really well. Where's the best place for your keys? Well a lock! Plastic, so it's not nearly as heavy as its masterlock brethren, but carries the cool look of an old-fashioned padlock. Keyring is affixed to the loop, and you're off and away.

Why is it that sometimes the simplest things are the most stylish? Plain black leather belt with red details. Perfect.

Freedom Mug by Dovetail

Flying skulls! Which is pretty cool in and of itself, but add to that the square design, and you've got yourself one rockin' way to have your coffee in the morning.

Madden Girl Ceesee

Description

I really do have a soft-spot for old fashioned things. But I especially love old-fashioned updated to a modern feel. I love ths classic mary-jane styling applied to this great pair of pumps. They hide a little bit of a platform, and have a cute peep-toe. I also love the fact that they look really cool with a nice pair of jeans.

Baccarat - Zenith Chandelier & Shade

First to recommend

Description

Ok, so this is not going in my house anytime soon, but I saw a (better) picture of it in Air France's in-flight magazine and just had to save it somewhere. It's got that old-school meets modern flair that Phillipe Stark is so good at. It looks so much better with the hurican shades on. I'll just continue to lust after his monetarily unreachable work.
