Otis Redding & Carla Thomas: King & Queen
First to recommend
Description
The pairing of soul vocalists Otis Redding and Carla Thomas is a gift from God! Bow down before the king and queen. Seriously, if you haven't heard "Tell it Like It Is" or "Bring It on Home To Me" or "Knock on Wood" that just about warrants a slap to the back of the head. You'll soon recognize that many of these tracks are hip hop sampling staples.

This was one of the first CDs I ever purchased bay in my youth and still holds strong to this day. How could you go wrong with Mark the 45 King. Any MCing credibility Latifah has today is owed to this album. Check out: Wrath of My Madness
