The B-52's: The B-52's

First to recommend

Description

This self titled album is high energy and dangerously fun! There are certain songs that make you regress to a 5 year old child with A.D.D. This album is it. I trashed my room thrashing and dancing around to "Rock Lobster" and "Dance This Mess Around". (via Amazon)

Bonnie Raitt: Streetlights

First to recommend

Description

Bonnie Raitts 1974 album Streetlights, is the iddish. Its got that bad ass blue-sy 70s rock twang. Great for rainy day road trips. Remember Kenny in the prison shower in Half Baked? Yeah, this album is full of unabashed crooning shower songs. Fav Tracks: "That Song About the Midway", "Street Lights", "Rainy Day Man", "Angel from Montgomery"

Bright Eyes: Fevers And Mirrors

First to recommend

Description

At the tender age of 20 Conor Oberst, poet, singer, songwriter and founder of the band Bright Eyes, released Fevers and Mirrors, an outstanding compassionate and angst ridden indie folk album. Oberst is pretty much a musical genius who at age 14 fronted the band Commander Venus. His musical maturity is outstanding and makes you wonder what is up with all the popular whiny 30-something rock bands screaming about the angst of youth. Oy.
Fav Tracks: "Something Vague", "Sunrise, Sunset", "Haligh, Haligh, a lie, Haligh" (via Amazon)
