About this list:

Someday (soon I hope!), my husband and I will be able to purchase our very own home - no more rent, no more cramped space. So I've already started thinking about what I'd like to fill our new place with -- once we pay off all the closing costs, of course. Nesting makes me happy ^_^

Cube Tube Vases

First to recommend

Description

I'm a sucker for minimalist design. I love these small cube vases, made of clear glass. They include an internal tube that you can position at whatever angle works best for your floral arrangement. For a set of 3, pretty affordable, too.

172A PENDANT LIGHT

Description

Those Scandinavians have done it again! This is my favorite pendant-style light, designed by Poul Christiansen. The rippled design has a clean symmetry without being cold - and with a max 100W bulb, it casts a nice warm overhead glow. Shade is made of lightweight plastic and can be detached for cleaning under running water.

ICE CREAM PARTY SET

Description

Satisfy your sense of nostalgia AND keep your ice cream portion reasonably small. The stainless steel rendition of the ubiquitous single-serve ice cream wooden spoon is pretty adorable ^_^ , as are the tiny ceramic cups. Might be a good thing they're small, to help curb my tendency to finish half a pint container of ben and jerry's.

Description

Bengt Ek wall clock with timer - I love the idea of having both in one. the bottom kitchen timer is actually removable and has a magnet so you can place it on a convenient surface while in use. Love the clean, classic design as well.

Global 8 inch Chef's Knife

Description

I have yet to get my hands on this - but when I do I'll probably swagger like a samurai as I prep my veggies. The price tag is pretty steep, but I imagine it'll last a lifetime with good care. And, so purty!

edamame pillow by Cindy and Mel

First to recommend

Description

I first saw this edamame pillow during the holiday gift festival in union square, nyc where various artsy-craftsy shops in the area set up stands in the park to sell unique, hand-crafted gifts. I haven't gotten mine yet, but will definitely get one soon -- not sure if I want to spring for the body-pillow-sized pod, but the mini size is the cute! ^_^ They also sell other sushi-related pillows, of course.

spinning mirror-shelves

Description

Gyratory! Just one among many things I covet from the Conran Shop. I tend to always have too much stuff, and these spinning mirrored storage units are a stylishly functional solution. A beautiful way to hide clutter without having to sacrifice horizontal space/ surface area in a room.
