Traditional logic states that you should be decked out in green come St Patrick's day. But when I saw this dress, I though what a way to distinguish yourself. Not only is it a cute dress, but when everyone else is covered in various shades of green, you'll stand out from the crowd in black and white. Plus, with four leaf clovers all over it, you're bound to have a lucky night.

Ignore the creepy manikin, but this hat would make a fantastic St Patricks hat. It's green, it has the glittery green bow and it isn't just another green glitter fedora. It reminds me of an old John Wayne movie I saw where he was in Ireland and fell in love with a girl. This hat seems like it would fit in perfectly.

If you aren't going out for a pub crawl and in fact are having a little bit nicer of a St Patrick's Day, I'd say this dress would be divine. It's a nice cut, it covers the arms (in case you, like me, live in a northern climate where it's still cold in march!) and it has a little hint of sparkle that makes it shine on St Patrick's night.

I throw a party for every holiday (and some that days that aren't even holidays). Sadly, this year I'll be at someone else's St Patricks Day party, but if I was holding one at my house. A dress like this would be deliciously perfect. For better of worse St Patricks Day has come to be associated with drinking and how better to drink than in a cocktail dress that could have been lifted from Jackie-O's closet! Plus, in a subtle celadon green, it's in the spirit of the holiday without being overwhelming.

Some days I wished I lived somewhere a little bit warmer. There will invariably be snow on the ground when St Patricks day hits for me. And snow and ice, especially when combined with green drinks and green beer means shoes that are least semi-sensible. If I lived some place warmer though, these shoes would totally steal my St Patrick's Day outfit. Wooden platforms, with metallic green leather straps and an immense green flower. They are absolutely a statement. Plus, they are Betsey Johnson, so they have that cute little bottom with golden heart and floral sole.

St Patrick's Day really has become quite commercial, but I must admit there is still a part of it that has a very wild bacchanalian undertone. I've always wanted to show up somewhere in a party dress that is totally above the dress code. I know that sounds silly, but can you imagine just kind of spending St Patricks Day in a bar in this dress that looks a bit more like it belongs at a real dress party? Oh, my! That's a deep v. I'm really kind of liking the deep v grecian styling of this shirt. With the gold interlacing ring straps and it's vibrant coloring, I could see this as a shirt of St Patricks day. Especially if you want to wear pants instead of a dress.

Earring exactly like this are what I wore all through the eighties. In the early 90s with the arrival of minimalist I jettisoned all of them. But, you know looking at them, they aren't that bad. In fact, I'm kind of thinking in addition to being fun for daily wear again, they'd be awesome for St Patricks day. I'm totally loving these again.
