Because I'm Vain - a list by supergr0ver

About this list:
Beauty products - I'm addicted to the latest and greatest cosmetics, bath products, hair goo, etc. I truly cannot justify my overflowing shelves of creams, gels, emulsions, what-have-you. I'm constantly on the look-out for those miracle products; for the sake of looking good as much as for the ritual of primping and pampering myself.

Cyclic Nano Silver Cleanser

Description
ok. wait. did they say NANO TECHNOLOGY?
I thought by now that our homes would be crawling with nanobots - some cleaning up dust and pet hair - some woven into our clothes to keep them clean without EVER having to do a load of laundry again. But I guess I do tend to live in a sci-fi dreamworld half the time...
Cyclic Silver skin cleanser has "nano silver" particles 1/20th the size of skin pores, which enables them to get all up in there to clean out the gunk and kill any bacteria and fungi. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now twice a day on my face and it does seem to have brightened up my skin and kept the zits at bay. So far so good, and I do love the convenience of a multi-purpose cleanser. They also make a Pink version for dryer or sensitive skin types.

Smashbox Photo Finish Bronzing Foundation Primer To Go
2 people recommended this item
Description
The next best thing to being able to apply a "Gaussian blur" filter to your face. Preps and smooths the face prior to foundation application just like the original Photo Finish Foundation Primer, but with the added benefit of color correcting properties. I like the "apricot" shade which "conceals under eye circles, veins, sunspots", because I'm prone to dark circles under my eyes (1 part genetic, 2 parts stress) and dark spots from old breakouts. Just smooth on, wait one minute to set, and then apply makeup as usual (or wear alone). The "To Go" size comes in a 0.5 oz tube - perfect for trying out, or for travel.

KP Duty at Dermadoctor

Description
"KP" stands for Keratosis Pilaris, a fairly common skin condition which often results in patches of little bumps on the back of the upper arms or thighs. I was determined to get rid of the annoying "chicken skin" on my arms especially before my wedding last year, as my gown was sleeveless. So I picked up a tube of KP Duty and applied it every day -- sure enough after a week or so, I noticed a reduction in the bumpies. Also works great for moisturizing very dry areas - elbows, knees, etc.
